Hats off to Scott – Afternoon Banter
Scott's back with a new hat and some festival stubble. It must have been Glastonbury this weekend. His hat, which cost him £5, made him look like the one from Mambo No5. Photographs due online sometime soon. Scott was plugging Live8 today, and some extra tickets that they have to give away. I've entered, make sure you do too. Or should I be stopping that? Well anyway, the choice is yours…
Glastonbury
Whilst Scott was watching Coldplay he managed to get next to a hayfever sufferer who attempted to blow his nose in tune with the songs. We were given a delightful reconstruction of that. Afterwards Scott had realised a hat he was wearing for two hours, that he found on a fence, actually belonged to a security guard. That's how he ended up buying the new hat.
Your Call
Lots of Your Call requests coming in at the start of the show, especially for Folk Face (that's Comedy Dave and Dom from the Chris Moyles Show). One caller wanted Athlete, but he couldn't say who it was for incase her husband was listening. Chappers had yet another favourite to put through on the air, she was sunbathing with just a pair of shorts on. Another caller spotted Eh? Dirty Boy! on a tractor at Glastonbury. Tonight's Most Wanted was the official Number 1, 2Pac, much to the annoyance of the message board members who had requested James Blunt many times in an attempt to get the website mentioned.
Flirt Divert
A girl called Sarah was on the line, asking for Davina asking for some tickets and a chat. Could it be Davina McCall? One guy was over complimenting a girl's top and hoping to "hook up" with the girl and signed off with "coolio". She was "soooo sexy". Is this what girls like, is that where Scott's going wrong? Another guy who sounded like he was mid-aged wanted to know if he could pop round his dad's. The guy must be very old – Chappers said he could understand why he did it. And finally a squirming guy had to apologise to one girl, it wasn't his fault his mate was throwing drinks on the pretty girls!
Unlucky in Love
Steven and Sam were back on the show. He's the guy who was unlucky in love, and wanted to ask a girl out. He took her to a restuarant and was very romantic. It was a restaurant, not a cafe and they stayed away from the garlic bread. There was no kiss, but it didn't happen. She may be waiting for the right time according to Scott. They exchanged numbers, and thankfully it wasn't the Flirt Divert. He'll keep us posted. Scott says thank goodness he's got a hat. He tried to ring Sam to her side of the story, but she wasn't answering. Thankfully he eventually got through to her, she seemed happy about it all although if she could criticise him it would be the crease in his jeans.
Craaaiigggg David
Craig David's back with his new song. He had been speaking to Spoony at the weekend. There's a mix reaction on the text. To be honest I think it's a load of rubbish, but there seems to be some people out there who like it. One texter claims it sounded like S Club Juniors. I think it's being a bit harsh on them.
The features were a bit quiet today, but the random talks did keep the show pretty entertaining.
