16 June 2022: Iain Stirling closed Innuendo Bingo week as Unlucky Gary remembered a Tulisa tattoo

Tulisa had accidentally reminded Unlucky Gary of an old date

After seeing Tulisa’s Innuendo Bingo appearance, Scott’s friend Unlucky Gary sent him a voice note.

Gary had suddenly remembered a man he once dated who had an actual tattoo of Tulisa’s face on his leg.

Scott had completely forgotten the story.

The reappearance of it raised all the obvious questions about celebrity tattoos.

How long had the owner expected to love Tulisa?

What would the portrait look like decades later?

And how early in dating somebody was the correct moment to reveal that a famous singer’s face was permanently attached to your calf?

It was exactly the kind of detail which justified Gary’s long-running reputation for attracting unusual situations.

Iain Stirling took the final box of the week

Iain Stirling arrived for the fourth and final new Innuendo Bingo of the run.

As the voice of Love Island, he was already professionally familiar with awkward flirting and suggestive conversation.

That did not offer much protection once he had water in his mouth and his head inside a Perspex box.

The revived format had now been tested by Joel Corry, Aitch, Tulisa and Iain across four consecutive shows.

By the end of the week, the experiment had proved that Innuendo Bingo could return without simply recreating the pre-pandemic face-to-face set-up.

Library Tennis became the Golden Moment

The show also reached back to a classic edition of Library Tennis at Cardiff Metropolitan University.

The game’s brilliance came from its simplicity.

Two students were in a quiet library and had to exchange increasingly loud tennis grunts without being challenged by somebody trying to study.

Hearing the archive clip again planted another idea.

If Innuendo Bingo could return, perhaps Library Tennis could as well.

That thought would not take long to become reality.
