The commute that never happened
Chris had planned a grand finale to Scott’s week of unusual breakfast-show transport, but the booking had to be cancelled at the last minute.
Scott would have travelled in a sedan chair carried by members of the Dreamboys. Instead, an ordinary taxi arrived.
Lorde of the onion rings
The programme returned to an anonymous Instagram account that reviewed onion rings. The pictures included a hand that appeared to belong to Lorde, and her management had been asked whether the account was genuine.
Lorde subsequently confirmed that she had created it as a joke with friends while touring. Scott and Chris finally noticed the unavoidable description: Lorde of the Onion Rings.
Honesty and a difficult chorus
New couple Jack and Katie agreed to reveal separately how many previous partners they had had.
Jack guessed that Katie’s answer would be seven and missed by only one. Katie predicted around 20 for Jack, then discovered that his real total was more than twice her estimate.
Scott and Chris finally attempted the full Spanish “Despacito”. Chris lost his place and struggled, but Scott’s rehearsing paid off. Listeners praised the unexpectedly convincing performance.
