Mylo and Rosie’s Listener Snubbed on Swap Exchange – And It Gets Worse

Radio 1 Early BreakfastRecap of the show on

Mylo and Rosie made Radio 1 history this morning by handing out their first ever Swap Exchange rejection. Will from Bedfordshire wanted Fred again.. and Baby Keem's "Talk of the Town" played in exchange for a "slightly used" Formula 1-branded gym kit, which the duo quickly rumbled had nothing to do with actual Formula 1. His backup offer, a bendy snail ruler, fared no better. "We're not mad, we're just disappointed," Rosie told him, before a listener called Brandon texted in to apologise on behalf of "the whole of Bedfordshire."

Elsewhere, the pair finally closed the book on "Towelgate" – the ongoing saga of producer Kieran, who left his mate's house towel in hand after forgetting his key, then hid it in a bush for six hours. Kieran confirmed the towel survived its leafy hiding place intact and, to Rosie's horror, revealed he'd used it again the next morning.

The duo also crowned a new Team Captain for Traitors Day, picking Jill, a teacher battling imposter syndrome ahead of a training session, awarding her an "invisible crown" for confidence. True to form, Mylo and Rosie debated whether to stay strong and avoid The Celebrity Traitors launch tonight, with Rosie insisting on a "collective decision" to keep the show spoiler-free tomorrow.

Listeners also got a giggle from the "Give Us Another One" word-game, with Ricky from Derby losing points for calling Big Ben "Little Ben" and mistaking an owl for a bat.
