Kym Marsh’s health complaint ahead of Hear’Say reunion

The Sara Cox Breakfast ShowRecap of the show on

Kym Marsh gave Sara Cox an unexpected health update before her big reunion chat, revealing she wasn't quite camera-ready. "I've got a little bit of dermatitis on my eyelid, it's just a bit itchy and hot and horrible," she told Sara, quickly adding "it's fine" when asked about reports of a "manky eye" over the weekend.

Kym and Michelle Heaton were in to announce a joint Hear'Say and Liberty X arena tour, twenty-five years after Popstars first pitted the two groups against each other. Michelle revealed it was Kelly who rang round to get everyone on board, "so that they knew we weren't catfishing them," while Kym admitted the full reunion very nearly didn't happen because Myleene Klass turned the offer down, leaving them with "nine out of ten" original members.

The pair relived the show's cruellest twist, with Kym remembering the infamous good-news-bad-news switcheroo from the judges. Michelle recalled being told she hadn't made Hear'Say live on air, only for her parents to be handed a congratulatory bottle of champagne first to soften the blow. Teacher Ellie, calling in from an empty classroom for Let's Hear It For The Noise, later went head-to-head with the stars in a new quiz segment named Fandora's Box, narrowly losing five points to four.

Elsewhere, Sheffield's Deb told Sara in Signed, Sealed, Delivered that she and husband Carl have just sold their house with no onward plan beyond a possible Christmas trip to Australia, declaring "we're essentially homeless, but we're fine."
