With Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour approaching Britain, Scott launched the programme’s Taylor Tracker.
The feature treated her arrival like Father Christmas travelling around the world.
Scott counted down the remaining European dates before Edinburgh, Liverpool, Cardiff and London and encouraged families to prepare for “Taylor Eve”.
Listeners discussed outfits, travel plans and what food should be left out for Taylor by the chimney.
New music from Blue
Scott gave the first play to Blue’s new single My City.
The song reflected on London and the group’s earlier years in the capital.
Scott also noted that One Love had enjoyed a renewed chart moment in India, although it had already begun falling back down the rankings.
The Birthday Game: Kim
Kim from Devon turned 37 while on maternity leave with her seven-month-old daughter Eden.
Her birthday plans included the first proper child-free dinner she and her partner had enjoyed for some time.
Kim liked Kings of Leon, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Oasis, 1990s dance music and 1980s cheese.
Her first spin was ABBA’s Fernando. Kim rejected it.
The second was Gnarls Barkley’s Crazy, the first UK number one achieved through download sales alone. She liked it but gambled again.
Her compulsory final song was Oasis’s Lyla, number one in 2005.
As Oasis had been one of her requested acts, Kim described it as an extremely lucky result.
The Music Police: Wayne
Wayne had been trying to identify a song for around 29 years.
He remembered hearing it after a night out in the mid-1990s and retained only a phrase resembling “keep on trucking”.
The force ruled out several possibilities before continuing to test the strongest suggestions.
Handover
Scott handed over after another Taylor Tracker update and Kim’s successful third spin.
