Kenny’s cabin-crew stories
Kenny turned 50 and had previously worked as cabin crew.
He remembered helping Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas fasten her seatbelt after a long evening in an airport lounge.
Other celebrity encounters included Gordon Brown asking for ice cream, seeing only the back of Daniel Craig’s head and telling Len Goodman that somebody else had eaten his dinner.
Kenny now worked nights for a major supermarket and celebrated with his wife Jenny and daughter Isabella.
He shared his birthday with Sting, Tiffany, Mahatma Gandhi, Trevor Brooking, Don McLean and Victoria Derbyshire.
The Birthday Game
Kenny’s first selections included John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John’s Summer Nights.
His brother Martin loved it for karaoke, but Kenny rejected it.
The compulsory third and final spin was James Arthur’s Say You Won’t Let Go, number one in 2016.
Kenny said it was not exactly what he had hoped for but accepted that James Arthur had a great voice.
Jenny and Isabella would have preferred Summer Nights, but Kenny reminded them that it was his birthday.
The Music Police return

Scott first revisited Harry’s old case.
Harry had woken from a nap with a tune in his head but no lyrics and only a vague belief that it came from the late 1970s.
His grandmother repeatedly suggested Aqua’s Barbie Girl, but the actual answer was The Selecter’s On My Radio.
Lucy’s case
Lucy from Cambridge remembered a song beginning with a man saying he did not like music.
She believed it was from the 1990s.
Scott recognised the clue and said the decade was wrong: the track came from the mid-1980s.
The case demonstrated his rule that investigators should follow the audio evidence rather than uncertain memories about dates.
A harder investigation
Scott then opened a second case for which he had no immediate answer.
Listeners were asked to examine the fragment and send suggestions to the Music Police hotline.
Other stories
Scott highlighted Fatboy Slim launching the Shaun by the Sea sculpture trail, featuring 42 Shaun the Sheep statues around Brighton and Hove.
He also looked ahead to Delta Goodrem discussing the 20th anniversary of Innocent Eyes.
Handover
Scott handed over to Sara Cox after officially returning the Music Police to duty.
