Would you pay to spend the day with golden retrievers?
Chris had been searching for unusual present ideas.
His brother had recently bought his fiancée an experience involving a house full of golden retrievers.
The concept was simple.
You arrived, the dogs were released and a pack of golden retrievers came running towards you.
For somebody who loved the breed, it was apparently an ideal day out.
Scott was initially confused by the idea of paying to sit around with somebody else’s dogs, although he quickly admitted that a cat equivalent would probably work on him.
Cat cafés were one thing.
A whole cat house might be even better.
Brother or Lover met a physicist and a transport planner
Sarah and John were the day’s contestants.
Sarah worked as a transport planner in London and enjoyed dancing and baking.
John was a PhD student in Exeter using lasers and physics to examine materials.
They did not live in the same city, immediately opening the possibility of a long-distance relationship.
The questions only made things less clear.
Sarah had bought clothes for John and baked him a large double-chocolate brownie birthday cake.
They exercised together and watched *Friends*.
A LaChilla question about whether John had shown Sarah his “PhD” created the necessary innuendo.
They were lovers
Most of the team decided the pair were dating, although there were doubts over the extremely plain “Happy Birthday John” message on his cake.
The reveal confirmed Sarah and John were lovers.
They had been in a long-distance relationship for roughly four years.
A relationship maintained between London and Exeter had survived the quiz.
What are you sweating like?
With temperatures climbing, the show created another fill-in-the-blank game.
Listeners had to complete the phrase “I’m sweating like…” with references from the programme.
Suggestions involved Jordan North, Matt Edmondson disappearing, Becky Hill during the chart and Scott’s wallet in Turkey.
The team were very clear that only broadcastable answers would be used.
That warning itself suggested the WhatsApp inbox had taken a predictable turn.
Made in Chelsea or Disney Prince?
The quiz then tested one of the show’s better recent ideas: Made in Chelsea cast member or Disney prince.
The names were surprisingly interchangeable.
Some sounded far too ridiculous to be real people.
Others sounded exactly like characters created for animated royalty.
The round would prove useful enough to return later in the month.
