Did some jobs make people naturally fitter?

Producer Amy had been looking at Scott and Chris and wondering whether their jobs helped keep them looking younger or fitter.

It was not meant as a romantic advance, she insisted.

It led instead to the concept of occupational fitness.

Some jobs involve constant movement, lifting, walking, outdoor work or other physical activity which changes the body without the person deliberately going to the gym.

Listeners began nominating the professions they thought produced unexpectedly fit or attractive people.

Scott and Chris were happy to hear that radio might somehow count, even though much of their working day involved sitting in a studio.

First-date cooking exposed everybody’s safe meal

The show then moved to the food people make when they are cooking for somebody new.

A first-date meal has to seem impressive without being so complicated that the evening ends with smoke alarms and takeaway menus.

One contribution involved the magnificent simplicity of a Super Noodle butty.

The discussion widened into signature dishes people relied on whenever they needed to appear more competent in the kitchen than they really were.

Scott and Chris recognised the danger of having one meal which worked so well that every new partner was eventually served exactly the same thing.

James and Abbey played Brother or Lover

James was a funeral director from the High Peak in Derbyshire.

Abbey worked in a nursery.

Scott immediately enjoyed the accidental symmetry: one worked near the end of life, the other with people at the very beginning.

They both loved Disney and regularly visited Florida.

When asked which Disney film best described their relationship, Toy Story became the answer because of its theme of loyalty and always being there for one another.

Other clues were deliberately ambiguous.

They had attended a messy christening in Wales together.

Abbey loved Italian food, especially spaghetti bolognese.

A recent text involved organising a spa booking.

They had also been sledging together, with Abbey ending up in freezing water.

The majority said lovers and were wrong

Three members of the team decided the spa, dinners and holidays sounded like a couple.

Two went for siblings.

James finally revealed that Abbey was his sister.

Once again, Brother or Lover had made perfectly normal sibling activities sound suspiciously romantic simply by placing them under interrogation.

The team admitted their recent form in the game was becoming worryingly poor.
