Camila declared it was gloss time
Scott had seen Camila Cabello talking about being single after her relationship with Shawn Mendes.
She explained that she was wearing more lipstick and lip gloss because she no longer had to think about kissing somebody while wearing it.
Her summary was simple:
“It’s gloss time, baby.”
Scott immediately compared that with his own behaviour after a break-up.
Gloss had not been involved.
Fishing had.
Scott’s version was fishing time, baby
A holiday had been cancelled after one of Scott’s relationships ended, leaving him with a week off and nothing planned.
He responded by booking activities simply to occupy his mind.
One of them was fishing.
That led to an early-morning meeting in a car park near a lake with a fishing instructor called Alan, whom Scott had arranged to meet online and had never seen before.
He remembered sitting in the car trying to work out which stranger was Alan until a set of headlights flashed and a man in full stereotypical fishing gear appeared.
For Camila it was gloss time.
For Scott it had been fishing time, baby.
Listeners then supplied their own post-break-up phases, including haircuts, Xbox, gym transformations and comfort food.
The royal pencil demands escalated
The programme also continued its ransom of Greg James’s royal pencil.
One of the demands was a Shake Weight.
Another required Greg to wear a celebrity face mask, with a Queen mask suggested, while using it.
Scott and Chris were now less interested in the actual pencil than in seeing how ridiculous they could make the conditions for its return.
Hook-up Higher or Lower also returned, while the quiz brought Henry VIII into an afternoon already containing Camila Cabello, fishing and royal stationery.
