Chris discovered post-gym pain

Chris arrived suffering after a gym session had left him aching badly enough that even sitting down had become difficult.

Scott was more interested in Chris’s accompanying gym photographs and the familiar pattern of people posting exercise pictures online as evidence that a workout had really happened.

Listeners recommended foam rollers and other ways of dealing with the soreness, while Scott enjoyed Chris learning how much a proper training session could hurt the following day.

Nobody watches all those concert videos

Scott and Chris questioned why people spend so much of concerts filming clips that they will probably never watch again.

Listener Anna admitted she used to record large amounts of performances before deliberately attending a later concert without taking her phone out at all. She found she remembered more of the night because she had actually watched it rather than staring at a screen.

Tablets at concerts received even less sympathy, particularly when a large screen blocked the view of everyone standing behind.

Two couples almost swapped partners in Leek

Small Town Swaps returned with a particularly neat example from Leek.

A caller explained that after she and her ex split up, she started seeing her current boyfriend. His former girlfriend was unhappy about the new relationship.

Then the two exes got together with each other.

The arrangement meant the original couples had effectively swapped partners, although the second pairing lasted only about a week.

Leek was duly added to the Small Town Swaps map.
