Arsenal Fan TV delivered after Watford’s win
Scott was delighted after Watford beat Arsenal and immediately headed towards Arsenal Fan TV for the post-match reactions.
Chris knew exactly what was coming: emotional supporters demanding wholesale changes, declaring themselves furious and treating the defeat as a personal crisis.
Scott replayed some of the strongest reactions and enjoyed them rather more than an Arsenal-supporting listener probably would have.
“Gym asthma” needed a doctor
TOWIE’s Courtney Green had said she became breathless while exercising and had been told she had “gym asthma”.
Scott and Chris liked the phrase because it sounded like the perfect excuse for anybody trying to avoid a workout.
They called Dr Ranj to establish whether it was an actual condition.
He explained that the phrase itself was not medical terminology, but exercise-induced asthma was real and exercise could trigger symptoms in people with asthma.
That unfortunately ruined its usefulness as a made-up excuse for simply not going to the gym.
Chris needed a children’s TV prize
Chris was due to appear on CBBC’s Saturday Mash-Up! and had been told guests should bring something to add to a viewer prize.
Nadine Coyle had previously contributed a signed photograph of herself.
Chris wanted to represent Radio 1 with something more impressive, but the station had not supplied a prize.
He and Scott therefore began looking around the office for anything he might be able to take, including old promotional material and items left lying around the building.
