7 July 2017: Chris couldn’t fasten his gay choir trousers

Americans discovered Embarrassing Bodies

Scott found a Twitter thread documenting American viewers encountering Embarrassing Bodies on Netflix for the first time. The explicit medical examinations that British viewers had long become accustomed to were apparently proving rather more startling in the US.

Listeners discussed other British programmes that had produced similar reactions, particularly Naked Attraction. Roxanne, an American living in the UK, explained that the amount of nudity shown on British television could be a genuine culture shock for viewers back home.

Chris had a wardrobe emergency

Chris finally answered Scott from the edge of the Arctic Circle with an urgent problem. He had been invited to perform with a gay choir at the festival he was filming, including running onto the main stage with a toy giraffe during “Circle of Life”. The choir had found him a uniform, but the trousers were far too small and none of the three buttons would fasten.

Scott suggested folding the waistband down and using a belt, a trick he remembered from wearing overly tight shorts at Eurovision. Chris remained concerned that the trousers might simply fall down when he ran on stage. He sent Scott a photograph of the problem before they attempted to continue with Bangers.

The last Reading and Leeds tickets went

Scott also spent much of the show giving away Reading and Leeds weekend tickets through the playing-or-not-playing game. After several tense rounds, Sarah secured the final pair and chose Reading.

Alice Levine joined for Friday’s Real or No Real, while Scott was hosting alone in the studio because Chris was still away filming. Scott promised that the following week would finally bring the pair back together properly.
