Final preparations for France
With their Euro 2016 commentary now confirmed, Scott and Chris deal with forms, medical requirements and the reality of travelling to France. They consider recruiting a psychic “sidekick” and hear from Dawn, whose sports bar intends to put their Red Button coverage on for its customers. Scott’s uncertain grasp of the fixture is exposed when he keeps finding ways to involve Neymar, despite Brazil having no part in France versus Germany.
M.O get thoroughly soaked
Girl group M.O become the latest guests to face Innuendo Bingo. Three members spray water opposite Chris as innocent broadcasts acquire a second meaning, including Nigel Slater describing warm, sticky honey, a cookery item about beef lollipops and Wimbledon commentary involving six inches.
The numerical advantage produces a particularly wet contest. M.O quickly learn that holding water while watching Chris react is much harder than it appears, and the studio is drenched by the end of their first attempt at the game.
Unlucky Gary’s one-plate dinner
Gary reports that, after a relatively manageable Glastonbury involving stolen wellies and pushing a car, his luck deteriorated at an all-you-can-eat Chinese restaurant. An argument with his boyfriend of six months ended with Gary being dumped before he had completed even one proper trip to the buffet.
Back on Tinder, Gary then swiped so rapidly that his thumb began to hurt. Concerned enough to call NHS Direct, he was advised to take painkillers. Scott is struck by the combination of heartbreak, an unfinished buffet and a dating-app injury, another suitably improbable instalment in the life of Unlucky Gary.
