Listeners shared their Christmas Eve plans
Messages came in from people who were still working, travelling or studying while much of the country had already moved into Christmas mode.
People were listening from desks and cars
Claire Barber was still at her desk, Zoe was in Stoke and Jenny in Lincoln was revising modules for January exams. Alexis was on the M25 using a laptop in the back of a car while travelling to see parents, and other messages came from listeners in places including Four Oaks and Jersey.
Radio became company for the people not finished yet
Scott read the names and situations out rather than trying to manufacture a large feature. The appeal was simple: listeners who felt they were the only people still doing something practical on Christmas Eve could hear that plenty of others were in the same position.
