Jump In My Car
The first half hour of today’s show was devoted to yet more blatant publicity for the Hoff’s single (Jump in My Car if you don’t know). He was mainly expressing his concern that it was still miles (OK, 10,000 copies) behind a big band and that if it didn’t get to number one he wouldn’t get a part in Hoff: The Musical.
Secret Psycho?
At 4.40 Scott called a lad called Daniel who, over the past few days, has received three voicemails from a girl he doesn’t know. He tried to ring her back but it was a withheld number. These were the messages left:
Message 1: The girl says she’s decided to go out with him because “he’s cute” and he has loads of money”.
Message 2: She wants a return phone call ASAP because she “really needs to speak to you”. Then, after all that urgency, she just says bye.
Message 3: She stayed over but “nothing happened” because he’s completely stupid and thinks he’s hilarious, but he is rich. She wants him to call her soon!
Chappers thinks she sounds hot. Typical Chopper really.
Scott: “No-one likes a shallow girl”
Chappers: “Unless they’re hot”
Rate My Listener
Just before the 5pm Newsbeat Scott mentioned today’s Rate My Listener; Daryl from Manchester. He’s a very good looking wee lad but he had a 36% Mingin’ vote. Scott thinks that’s unfair and that it’s just jealous boys voting him that way. In an effort to make it fair, Chappers voted him ‘buff’.
Another amazing TV show…
Scott has yet another favourite TV show and this one doesn’t even start until tonight! It’s called Ice T’s Rap School, basically a big rip-off of Rock School. Ice T goes to a posh American school and tries to teach posh American kids how to rap. Scott’s favourite is a ginger haired kid called Dodge. Dodge has never owned a pair of jeans, he prefers to wear pinstripe blazers instead. His favourite music is from the 40s/50s era and, in his heart, he is 75 despite being 15. He tried a rap that had been written on the blackboard and reckons he’s “rather skilled” at rapping. It was actually reminiscent of Chopper’s infamous “Debbie” song, but Chappers was better. Rap School is on MTV at 10pm on Tuesdays. Or, you could just watch CSI: New York.
Then came more Hoff publicity. Scott played the Musical montage again and whined that they are still behind the other band in the race for number one. He told the listeners that they should buy Jump In My Car when they buy Sam’s Town, by The Killers because they’ve sold loads of albums this week. Scott wants you to buy Jump in My Car so that he can be in Hoff: The Musical and develop jazz hands. I think it’s just an elaborate plot to get on Richard and Judy.
Keeping Jazz Alive
There was then follow-up talk about yesterday’s grown up magazines conversation. Scott’s had an e-mail from a girl who took a few naughty pictures of herself and e-mailed them to her boyfriend. She then called him and asked if he’d seen the e-mail but he hadn’t. She checked her sent mail and realised she’d sent them to the guy’s brother instead! Now she can’t look him in the eyes. Chappers is thinking about e-mailing her as “It might be fun being in her address book!”
Martin from Swansea calls to tell Scott that his girlfriend found his magazines after the top 10 hiding places were announced and now isn’t talking to him! This somehow gave the team the idea that the brother hasn’t seen the e-mail yet which prompts Scott to tell everyone who’s brother has a girlfriend to check their e-mail.
Jono suggested that the e-mails should be evaluated by Chappers to see how bad they actually were. Scott picked up on this and mentioned the idea (and us!) to Chappers who was quite surprised that Unofficial Mills could come up with something that good. Well, Mr Chapman, it wasn’t Unofficial Mills, it was Jono, so there!
Wait, that didn’t sound right…
Your Call
There were two mentionable callers on Your Call today. One was a care worker who, whilst trying to get an elderly lady dressed, had a lamp, face cream and other miscellaneous item thrown at her because the lady preferred to stay as she was! Last up there was a girl with a cold. Both Scott and Chappers thought her husky voice was very sexy and want to call her back up tomorrow night! I was quite unhappy about this, as I have a cold at the moment and no-one has told me I have a sexy voice yet!
