10 November 2005: Secret Psychos, The Takeaway Game and U2

Alright Treacle? It's been a while hasn't it – first of all I apologise for the crapness of our reviews section recently (haha, that wasn't a dig at the reviewers) – we're working on a full rota of reviewers, it's just difficult arranging it and getting the reviewers wised up. We'll get there soon!

We salute you brave website visitors…

Scott was being a bit pervy today – he had Laura's scarf on today, and was patting Laura's arse. He was entertaining students last night and played a live version of the takeaway game. He had a funny e-mail to send out today, two Chinese students performing a Backstreet Boys song. Scott wanted everyone to see the video – check it out by_clicking_here.

If you've not heard a Scott Mills show before, shame on you, but beings Scott's been spreading the word recently I thought I'd talk through the usual show. You've got the general banter and music between 4pm and 5pm, and then at 5pm you've got Your Call. At 5.45pm it's a 15-minute Newsbeat show, and then Scott's back on at 6pm with the Entertainment News at 6.30pm. There are also Newsbeat updates at 4.30pm and 5.00pm. So there you go, now you know…

Rate My Listener

Today's Rate My Listener is Charlotte. She's in to rock hard and punk, and is seeing 'Zebra Head' perform tonight. Her ideal man is Frank from My Chemical Romance; her ideal woman would be one off of The Distillers. Her biggest achievement so far is whilst at school she wrote 250 Alan Partridge quotes. I wouldn't quite say she's quite my cup of tea, but it's different! Nice bathroom though… Get on to the BBC Radio 1 pages right now, and rate Charlotte happy.

They're great… until they speak or sing…

Your Call

Tonight you could have heard anything on Your Call but 'Especially for you' by Johnny and Denise – that's rated 'R' for Rubbish! 133 people loved that track. The tracks tonight included:

The White Stripes

Faithless

U2

Rachel Stevens

50 Cent

Green Day

Bob Sinclair

Son of Dork

And KT Tunstall…

So who was on the line tonight? One girl went back to a guy's house where there was a lot of Wallace and Gromit stuff there, and she made sure every one knew. Another boy was off to karate, one was off to Leeds' Christmas lights and another after a date with Laura. Scott informed us how he’s still waiting on a call from Swansea about turning on their lights – come to Norfolk I say, the most famous person who’s switched on ours is some guy off Only Fools and Horses. Want to be on tomorrow's Your Call? Get your texts in by texting 81199 during show hours, or call 08700 100 100. It's only bley Friday tomorrow, so Your Call will be back on Monday afternoon. Tonight's Your Call Most Wanted was Madonna's Hung Up.

It's a Secret Psycho Special

Scott had a secret psycho special today – have you been hurt by your ex and then done something for two or three weeks that you wouldn't normally do? One girl used to wee a little bit on his ASDA uniform every night and he never used to wash it. Another caller found out her ex cheated on him, so she put bottles of milk with holes in and hid them in his house, he eventually found them a few months later and it fell all on him. Kay, another psycho, broke up with her boyfriend 3 and a half years ago and so she advised him on gaydar, changed his e-mail settings to different names, ran a bath and weed on it, and she weed in his aftershave, and on his toothbrush. She put stuff on his car (flower and water), stole his remote control, but thankfully they're friends now. Mrs X had an exciting thing to tell us, but hung up. Another developed a lot of naked photographs of her husband, and sent them in postcard form to his work over a couple of weeks signed from "his loving wife, mother to three children".

After six o'clock, a caller called Dom was on the phone, who was talking about his ex 'Perfect Helen'. He was besotted with her, and she used to buy him cuddly pigs. She eventually brought 40 to 50 of them. He did something with a groupie, so it was over, and so one night he came home emotional and drunk and the next morning he woke up with headless pigs nailed to his wall in the shape of a H. Melanie had split up with a guy she was living with, and found some text messages on his phone that shouldn't have been there, and he was denying anything. So she made him a pie with dog food in. He was a bit suspicious at first, but after eating it wanted a second course.

One of the one's that doesn't speak admitted she'd eaten a dog treat before, claiming everyone's done it, leading Scott to ask listeners to text in if they'd done so. I have – I did the lot – dog treats, cat food, dog food… My excuse was I was only a baby, but my parents had trouble trying to stop me from eating all of the animal’s food. It's just the smell and the look of it, some of it looks quite appealing… Well there's my random confession of the day.

Record of the Week

Scott had another play of Braund Reynolds 'Rocket', this week's Record of The Week. You heard it all week; catch it again on tomorrow's show from 4pm.

First show I've reviewed in a while, but I thought it had some good continuity with the Secret Psycho, although once again I wasn't happy with the Your Call tracks. But what did you think. I want to hear your views. Get on to our message board, register for free, and tell us your views. We've even got a Rate Our Forum Member thing going on at the moment; it might be right up your street if you're a hormonal teenaged girl…
