The Lowdown of Monday's Show
It's only bley Monday! Chappers was rather late into the show, he'd been in Leeds today and it had taken him 6 hours to get back to the Radio 1 studios. He has had the flu all weekend and was sounding rather rubbish this afternoon. Scott had some rather worrying photographs from his gig in Leicester. Highlight's tonight consisted of another rather amusing Celebrity Call with Brucie off of Carpark Price is Right – the poor guy tried to be polite by saying the line was bad, Scott trying to book a meal for Jo Whiley's diva demands in Northampton, scary stalkers on Your Call and Will Young supposedly giving out the Flirt Divert number to his fans. It was Flirt Divert with a twist today as most of the callers appeared to be OAPs. One was looking for Will (Young) and the second was apologising about a few stains that she'd caused. Let's not go there. It was later revealed in Your Call that the person calling for Will Young had met him 12 times and was planning to make it a thirteenth on Friday when Scott and Will visit Southampton as part of 'DJs Go Home Week' on Radio 1. Scott had a new 'gay' song to replace Aniya Day's Nasty Girl which is now a bit out-dated, which Chappers seemed rather pleased about. And finally Amelia from Harrogate was causing a stir because of her 'pumpkins' (pun intended) in today's Rate My Listener. Check her out here and rate her happy. A good show tonight, but it appears the week will be dominated by the DJs 'spreading the word' of Radio 1, so prepare to have that message hammered into your head – if it isn't already.
I'm sorry about the short review, I had dentist appointments and lots of work to catch up on. And no I'm not out trick or treating tonight! Don't fear I'll have a full Unofficial Mills review tomorrow evening from 7pm.
