I am big Sam and Danni fans and always think they should be getting maximum exposure. I'm wondering - which show do people on here think gets the most exposure/listeners - Sat/Sun early breakfast, or Fri/Sat/Sun afternoons..? I'm thinking it might be afternoons but I have no data to back that up. If afternoons, I'd move Sam and Danni there and put James on weekend breakfast. But with so much change going on... they might be reluctant to mess around with another show. Sam and Danni feel like the heirs of weekday afternoons in a few years

I'm not convinced its a last minute decision, I just reckon the logistics of it needed more time to work out (e.g. will Katie be in London for the show or Salford, who would go into Katie's slot). So I reckon they announced Jamie first because they had to get on the front-foot from a PR perspective after Jordan's departure - but then once all the above was resolved they can announce the Katie addition.

Rest of Easter weekend is now up: Saturday 8th April - Radio 1 Happy all day with the usual Saturday presenters, with Dance Anthems as normal at 4pm Sunday 9th April - Radio 1 00s all day with the usual Sunday presenters, and with Vick Hope from 4pm Monday 10th April - Matt and Mollie in for Greg

I was also surprised to see Emil covering, especially as he's currently scheduled on Absolute Radio 00s from 10am to 1pm that day. I suppose that means that his Absolute show is pre-recorded then?

Sam & Danni are in for Adele on Sat 17th and Sun 18th December

Hey everyone - long time lurker, first time poster! I noticed on Clara's Brit Awards show page on the Radio 1 website it had a new-looking style for the show graphic - including the new BBC and Radio 1 Logos, and a new blue colour palette for the Radio 1 "test card" style image. Wonder if this is a first look at a style refresh ahead of Radio 1 officially changing its logo this year? https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m00145cs I do find this slow drip of changeover to the new R1 logo a bit strange - why not launch all at once?
