The extended Dua Lipa track from M&M was very funny. I'm hoping Matt and Mollie and Scott have a good relationship a bit like Greg and Zoe collaborate on-air sometimes.

Why isn't any of it live?

I love Scott but if you're a 20 or 30 something that enjoyed his last few years of Radio 1 the Radio 2 show just doesn't translate. Stars from Neighbours or 90s singers just aren't my cup of tea and I can't get enthused about some has been at Radio 2 in the Park or some country music countdown. Until that changes I will probably more likely listen to Matt and Mollie. The Steve Wright fans think Radio 2 has turned into Radio 1 but it has a long way to go to win over the older R1 audience.

There was a time when everyone knew Zane Lowe or Annie Mac or Judge Jules or Dave Pearce or Annie Nightingale. Does the Radio 1 generation know the current bunch?

The irony of Jordan moving to Capital Radio is it seems to speed up Greg's eventual move from Radio 1 Breakfast. I think Greg's show is great, but he hasn't had any significant competition in his time on mornings. Now there is there'll be more scrutiny of the figures, he might be more tempted to move, which is probably what Jordan wanted before he left!

No different to giving Paddy McGuiness weeks of covering Rylan. BBC bosses are quite happy to give the job to a 'name' whether they have the credentials or not. Paddy performed better. It does seem a bit silly to have all of these early breakfast trials and not make use of those on the rota.

Will they do a BBC3 and close it first?

Think the sport coverage is what sets it apart from other stations. It's done well to navigate all of the breaking news channels out there.

I think I saw it mentioned here that it was closing but it still seems to be airing new shows.
