Roman Kemp is stepping down from his Capital breakfast show, although that's according to The Sun (they're usually correct with the entertainment 'exclusives', though).
I suppose someone like Will Manning or Jimmy Hill might be a good shout if they look to someone in house to replace him.

Listen to Annie & Grimmy’s podcast earlier, really liked it and found it to be a good giggle as expected. Anyone else listened?
I heard the preview they've done. Sounds really good. They're on with Clara Amfo in a bit to talk about it.

Scott just mentioned on Radio 2 that it was over the weekend. Him and Vernon were there. Pete Tong was the wedding DJ.

Are Sam and Danni the youngest presenters to get a permanent show at Radio 1?
I'm unsure how old they are, but Greg would've been 21 when he joined Radio 1 in 2007.
-
Greg is by far the best DJ on the station now. Fingers crossed he stays for a while longer yet.
-RMC feel very wasted in their slot. They would've suited the 1pm slot as well. It just feels very crowded having 3 people on mid mornings. I can't help but feel they won't move beyond their current slot, although Charlie might have an extended future with Dance Anthems.
-Sam & Danni are probably the best of the new intake, and have been long overdue a permanent slot. I'm sure they'll make the new weekend breakfast show their own, hopefully they progress to weekdays in the next couple of years.
-
I must admit, I echo what others have said above. I never thought I'd start to move on from Radio 1, but I have definitely started to move towards being a Radio 2 listener now. Although I massively miss Scott & Chris on R1, I think Scott has settled in well at Radio 2. I also agree Matt & Mollie would've been a much stronger choice for that slot. It's one of a few shows I do still enjoy.
Scott & Chris' departure was definitely one of the biggest losses to Radio 1 in my opinion. I can't help but feel Dean's rise to weekday daytime was rather sudden, Vicky's even more so. Had they started up on weekends together, it wouldn't 'maybe' have sounded so so jarring?
-
Considering he's been at GHR since April, he don't half go on about the BBC and Radio 2, he's moved on in his career and so have R2.
I can't see him being that enthusiastic playing the same oldies day in day out either...

Nicki Chapman in for Claudia Winkleman today. This has changed twice, originally listed as Davina McCall, then Anita Rani.
-
Scott Mills has just mentioned he's in for Rylan on Saturday afternoon.

That’s his 4 shows for BBC Sounds I think
It isn't. They're something called Sunday Love Songs' Extra. I believe they're 30 minutes long and will be airing in the middle of the night like other Sounds content.
The 7-9pm slot on the 21st-24th August has been renamed 'Steve Wright's Summer Nights'.
-
Steve Wright appears to have some evening shows coming up. Monday 21st to Thursday 24th August 19:00-21:00 are listed as 'Sunday Love Songs', but the description says "Contemporary and classic tunes that say summer, mixed in with summer shout outs".

Tina Daheley sits in for Jeremy Vine from Monday 14th to Friday 18th August. Edith Bowman is in for Jo Whiley during the same week.

It used to generally be the 'B team' plus Scott & Chris would shift over to breakfast.
