Richie Anderson in for Dermot O' Leary this Saturday (15th June) and Saturday 29th June. Spoony in for Trevor Nelson on The Rhythm Nation for two weeks starting Monday 17th June Gaby Roslin in for Zoe Ball on the breakfast show for a week starting Monday 1st July OJ Borg in for Sara Cox on Monday 1st and Tuesday 2nd July Glastonbury weekend sees Dermot O'Leary live from Worthy Farm on Saturday 29th June 3-6pm, OJ Borg is on air from 8pm warming up for the headline slot (and I assume afterwards as well). Jo Whiley is live from Glastonbury on Sunday 30th June 5-8pm. Tina Daheley in for Jeremy Vine on Thursday 4th July.

Interesting to see Newsbeat presenters cover a show, although I think Pete Allison used to do some cover work for Radio 1 about 10 years ago?
-
Sting is the other headliner. I'd say that's about right for Radio 2, mostly 80's, 90's and 00's.
-
Rylan's there. His show today was pre recorded as a result.
-
I agree that OJ is a good listen. I don't think he'll get the breakfast show sadly... as there are several people who I think would be ahead of him in that regard, and I can't see Zoe going anywhere soon. It's a shame they haven't had him cover for Scott this week rather than Spoony.
-
Nikita Kanda is covering the weekend mid afternoon slot a few times over the next few weeks, as is Ore.
-
Vernon is also in panto this year, so he'll presumably have a spell away from Radio 2 around Christmas/New year.
-
I must have missed that yesterday, sorry! Scott did make the same tongue in cheek comment on today's show about Rylan. It's a shame Rylan isn't the go to cover for Scott, I assume his commitments away from R2 prevent that. I enjoyed his last cover stint. Spoony is the go to stand in for the mid afternoon slot (he's covering again week after next while Scott's off getting married). In that case, I think you're right!
-
Surely Arielle will be in with a shout for that after leaving early breakfast?
-
If we're counting the overnight slot, OJ Borg regularly covers weekend shows.
-
What I assume is a very last minute change... Scott Mills is in for Rylan today.
-
Another lengthy absence for Scott later this year... He's doing Panto again, as 'Mayor Mills'... but in Swansea. Hopefully there will be a week of Rylan covering at least, although it'll likely be Spoony who seems to be the main stand in for the mid afternoon slot now.
-
Zoe Ball is back on the breakfast show on Monday.
-
I like Scott, and I listen to Rylan's show every week... they do sound great together on Eurovision etc but.. as for a daily show together, I don't think it would work. Rylan would probably have to reign it in a bit which would lose his appeal, otherwise it may become too chaotic, in my opinion. That Saturday slot is perfect for Rylan, his rapport with Sally Traffic and Lottie is great. I suppose it comes down to cost as well and if he would want a daily show? Radio 2 are clearly happy with Scott's show, and considering he's just won Best Entertainment Show at the ARIA's, I can't see them changing much.

OJ Borg is in for Trevor Nelson on the Rhythm Nation tonight (with Phill Williams on overnight). He's also in for Michael Ball for the next two Sundays (12th and 19th May). Ros Atkins (BBC's Analysis editior) is in for Jeremy Vine on Thursday. Another new name to Radio 2 is Oliver Hides from BBC Radio Wales. He sat in for Owain Wynn Evans yesterday and he's in again this Thursday (9th May) and Bank Holiday Monday (27th) Spoony in for Scott Mills from Tuesday 28th till Friday 31st May.
-
Dean's unwell today (according to Vicky at the start of the show) so Nat O'Leary is sitting in for him.
-
Scott's show is on the road next week, live from Malmö in Sweden on Wednesday and Friday, ahead of Eurovision. As he's doing the semi final coverage on the TV on Tuesday and Thursday alongside Rylan, Gary Davies sits in for him on those days.
-
To be fair, Scott & Chris would've still been fine on Radio 1. It was mentioned at the time that Scott's move was very much on Radio 2's part rather than Radio 1 wanting to move them on. That's the one problem that Radio 2 has, trying to appeal to such a wide demographic.. it's the perfect listen for many, but equally a turn off for many others. I think they have the balance fairly right.

The Eurovision semi finals are on from 8 to 10pm on Tuesday 7th and Thursday 9th May with Richie Anderson. That means Sara Cox in on till 8 on those days. Saturday 11th May is Eurovision 'Super Saturday... 1-3pm Your Ultimate Abba song with Gary Davies 3-6pm Michelle Visage's Eurovision All Stars 6-8pm Eurovision Request Party with Owain Wynn Evans 8pm Eurovision Grand Final with Scott Mills and Rylan Clark OJ Borg hosts a Eurovision after-party post Eurovision until 2am

Gary Davies in for Vernon Kay tomorrow (Monday 29th April). He's also in for Vernon on Monday 6th (bank holiday, Monday 20th and Tuesday 21st May
-
Yeah. He started on R1 in the late 90's when they used do the 'Sessions in the Nations' where they used to split for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. He then moved to daytimes, firstly on weekends in 2003 then they replaced Mark & Lard on the mid afternoon slot in 2004. Then he moved to late evenings as a specialist DJ.

The location for Radio 2 in The Park will be announced on Wednesday morning during the Breakfast show. I've already seen a fair few calls for it to go back to Leeds after it was cancelled in the wake of The Queens passing.
-
It popped up in my feed earlier that they're actually rolling out 'The Jordan' breakfast roll tomorrow in a few select Greggs stores for people to try out.
-
Monday 6th May (May Day bank holiday) Gaby Roslin in for Zoe Ball Gary Davies in for Vernon Kay 12-2pm is Sounds Of Soul with Tony Blackburn 2-4pm is an ABBA Special (ABBA and beyond- Story of Eurovision 74) with Scott Mills (already available on BBC Sounds) 4-7pm is currently blank on the schedule but it was mentioned in a recent Radio 2 press release that Jane McDonald will be hosting two specials on both May Bank holidays

I listened again this morning, and I was impressed. As sad as it is that Jordan left Radio 1, he has slotted in very well at Capital. Despite the fact it's three people, the show doesn't feel crowded at all. It helps that they are all good mates, so their bounce off each other really well. The adverts are a bit annoying, but.. they have the right balance of speech for a commercial breakfast show. I didn't think I'd actively tune into a show on Capital on a regular basis, but I'm tempted.
