  1. Yes. He mentioned it the day Vernon's start day was announced. Zoe's filming a show for ITV. He also said he will still be the stand in on mid mornings. So the likelihood is that he'll probably do that and share breakfast cover with Nicki Chapman.
  2. Yes. He mentioned it the day Vernon's start day was announced. He also said he will still be the stand in on mid mornings. So the likelihood is that he'll probably do that and share breakfast cover with Nicki Chapman. Zoe's filming a new show for ITV.
  3. Gary Davies will still be the stand in on mid mornings, which is good news.
  4. Richie Anderson is in for Scott Mills on Tuesday 9th and Thursday 11th May. The show will be coming from Liverpool all week (BBC Radio Merseyside's studios I'd assume). He's also in for Scott on Monday 1st, 8th and 29th May (all bank holidays). Steve Wright is on 4-7pm on both bank holiday's (Monday 1st and 8th May). Gaby Roslin is covering the 12-2pm slot on Monday 1st May with 'Songs that bring you joy'.
  5. Nicki Chapman is in for Zoe Ball on the breakfast show on the 1st and 8th May (both bank holiday Monday's)
  6. Seems to be a last minute change. No Tony Blackburn this weekend so.. Johnnie Walker is hosting Sounds Of The 60's on Saturday morning Paul Gambaccini will be doing this Sunday's Golden Hour.
  7. Gregor Davidson? He was one of the 2019 Christmas presenters, and I think he was down to start covering some shows, then COVID hit.
  8. Richie Anderson is in for Scott on Easter Monday.
  9. The only cover he's done was for Sara Cox on drive when she was I'll (the day before Steve Wright stayed on till 6, and Adele Roberts who was sitting in for Jo started at 6). He once stepped in very last minute for Zoë Ball until Ken tool over at 08:30. His most recent show was on Christmas Eve, in Rylan's timeslot, but he's never officially covered Rylan (which surprises me to be fair).
  10. Anita Rani in for Claudia Winkleman today (Saturday 18th March). I assume a last minute schedule change.
  11. She's in for him for 2 weeks. W/C 3rd April Sam Pinkham in for Phil Williams on Monday 3rd and OJ Borg rest of the week on overnights Nicki Chapman in for Zoe on breakfast.
  12. On the subject of GHR and Mark Goodier, he's moving to mid mornings on the weekend. He'll also be the main cover for Ken.
  13. Turned out to be Alex Jones instead. Anita Rani is in for Rylan on Saturday (4th March) The following Saturday is the C2C music festival, Bob Harris is live from there in Rylan's usual timeslot (3-6pm 11th March).
  14. For anyone who hasn't read the chatbox. Well done to anyone who mentioned Vernon Kay in their predictions. https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/tv/10269518/itv-star-replacing-ken-bruce-bbc-radio-two/
  15. Life Hacks on Sunday 5th March and Vick & Jordan's drivetime show the following week are listed as "Radio 1's Tour De Dance for Comic Relief". Interestingly, it appears Jordan is joing Vick and Katie on Sunday 5th as it lists the chart update "With Vick, Katie and Jordan".
  16. Nicki Chapman in for Claudia Winkleman next Saturday (25th February).
  17. He was the main cover presenter at one point when he was a weekend/cover DJ.
  18. She hosts a podcast series as well. She's covered Jo's show in the past too.
  19. Gary is now in for Ken on Wednesday 15th, with Nicki Chapman covering the breakfast show, he's still on breakfast the other 4 days.
  20. Turns out he's doing a challenge for Comic Relief this year, hence the cryptic conversation with Sally. Anita Rani is in for him Saturday after next.
  21. I was going to mention this earlier as some Twitter users and posters on another forum seemed to pick up on this. I did hear it yesterday but I didn't think much of it at first. Listening back... The way Sally was talking, it was like it was her last traffic bulliten with him (she's off next week, but he's not on the following week and couldn't say why). I just interpreted it as they won't be on air together for a few weeks. Who knows.. maybe there is something in it ?
  22. That just isn't happening. Both of them have lots of TV committments. Dermot, Claudia and Rylan work well on a Saturday... I don't see any benefit to moving any of them. Without going too much off topic... I did wonder when Vernon would be back on as it's been a while since he's covered. He did seem to fall out of favour for cover opportunities (I suppose that could be on his part and being unavailable) with Gary Davies doing the last few lots of breakfast cover, and the likes of Anita Rani and OJ Borg sitting in for Dermot and Rylan.
  23. Vernon Kay is sitting in for Zoe Ball on breakfast Monday and Tuesday next week (30th/31st January).
  24. I wouldn't want Rylan to move for purely selfish reasons, as I like listening to his Saturday afternoon, he really does suit that slot. Dermot O' Leary is clearly being set up with Alison Hammond for the main This Morning role, which I get a feeling will be sooner rather than later. The bigger question to consider is some of the names mentioned, would they even want to do it? Dermot, Rylan, Claudia, Vernon all have TV gigs... so might not want to juggle both.
  25. And Phill Williams broadcasts from Salford, so would be a win win without pressure to move mid mornings, afternoon or drive out of London. Greg isn't going to be parachuted into Radio 2 mid mornings. It'll be someone in the Radio 2 family for a start. I certainly think, should he want to continue with music radio, that Greg will be the next big name the BBC will want to retain and transition to Radio 2, still plenty of time for that to happen, though.
