I thought that I’d throw my thoughts in here: To begin with, I enjoyed Greg’s Show on Breakfast so so much. If I ever missed a show, I would catch up on it because I felt like I was missing out on something major happening but since around Christmas, I haven’t bothered. I still enjoy it, but I feel as though it has got very samey, the features need freshening up. Like, do we really need Unpopular Opinion and The Fact Controller every week - I think they’re the two features that need a rest the most. I think Yesterday’s Quiz is starting to feel tired as well. Bring back Game of Phones, What’s My Age Again?, Impossible Karaoke, more features are needed I think. Over the last few weeks, I have been able to listen to the Breakfast Show more than normal, and I have to say that after 8:30, I think the show is great - there’s some really original and funny ideas and it works, I think between 7 and half 8 just needs some tweaking to make it sound great. Hopefully after his holiday, he’ll give some features a rest and have some new ones ready for afterwards

No he’s not, he’s still down to do his normal show that week. I’m sure at the moment he won’t miss his show to do R2, he’ll probably only do it weekends or during other times of the day!

Quite a few changes over the next few weeks: • As already mentioned, Jordan is in for Grimmy for the next two weeks and on Easter Monday. • Next week, Phil Taggart is in for Annie apart from Friday when it’s Danny Howard. Eats Everything is doing Danny’s Show on Friday. • Also next weekend, Maya is off so Jordan is doing the Greatest Hits all weekend. • As well as this, Dev is off all weekend so Alice is flying solo. • For the next 2 saturdays, Arielle is covering Dance Anthems. • DJ Target is also off for the next two Saturdays. • On Wednesday 17th, Arielle is covering for Adele on Early Breakfast. • There is another Rave Lounge on Good Friday! • On Easter Monday, Matt and Mollie are on Breakfast, Jack Saunders is in for Annie and Sophie K is in for Jack. • Matt and Mollie are on Breakfast for the rest of the week. • And finally, Jordan is in for Maya again the weekend after!

Nope, I’m thinking he’ll take a holiday quite soon, maybe around Easter? He had quite a few holidays when he did drive so it does surprise me a bit.

Few schedule changes in the next few weeks: • Rickie, Melvin and Charlie begin on April 1st which means that this week is the last week of the 8th. • Arielle is in for Adele from the 1st to the 4th of April and Adele is in for Clara that week. • On the 8th April, Jordan is in for Grimmy and I’m guessing that’s all week. • Also that week, Phil Taggart is in for Annie (apart from Friday when it’s Danny Howard) • Finally, on Friday 12th, Jordan is in for Maya.

When he was wheeling Charlie out, he accidentally threw them off air by pressing the emergency tape button!!

The full line up for Big Weekend 2019 is being revealed on Greg’s Show on Monday morning. Hopefully they do another music montage to announce it all!

Sorry about this being another dig at Maya but everyone of the daytime DJs has turned up for the lolathon other than her and Dev (But he’s on holiday). For someone who has such a prominent slot, it’s strange that she’s not involved herself at all in this!

This last hour and a half has been the best radio I think I’ve ever heard on Radio 1. It’s nice to see all the DJs being able to show their (rude) personalities. And Jordan has really really stood out tonight. A shame that’s greg won’t be on until the morning as I enjoyed him doing the rude bits last time!!

I think Arielle might take it over at some point this year. Adele seems to have had quite a lot of time off recently unless she’s just saved up a lot of holiday leave and she’s using it all now.

Jordan is in for Adele Monday to Wednesday next week as she is in for Dev on the 8th. Tomorrow, there’s an Oscars special from 3am with Ali Plumb co hosting the show. On Thursday and Friday, Arielle is covering for her. Alice is going solo on Friday before Arielle Free covers for them both on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday as well, Asian Network Live takes place between 7 and 11pm. The week after, Nick Bright is in for Dev on the 8th, Jordan is in for Adele on Friday 8th March and Monday 11th and Alice is flying solo all weekend again.

Ooh good idea! Here’s what I think: Weekdays: 4:00 - 6:30 New presenter (I enjoyed Adam English, maybe him) 6:30 - 10:00 Greg James 10:00 - 1:00 Katie Thistleton 1:00 - 4:00 Matt and Mollie 4:00 - 7:00 Jordan North Weekends: 6:00 - 10:00 Arielle Free and Luke Franks (they do that worst dates podcast together but I don’t know what their chemistry’s like) 10:00 - 1:00 New presenter 1:00 - 4:00 Dev and/or Alice 4:00 - 7:00 Fridays- Scott on the chart, Saturday - Mistajam on dance anthems, Sunday - new presenter So I think Scott will move to R2 apart from the chart, I think Clara will leave in 3 or 4 years time, Grimmy I think will leave mid 2020 as well as Adele and Cel, with Katie presenting Life Hacks solo until she moves show. And I think Maya will leave at some point this year with Jordan taking her shows until he gets a new show.

Greg has been kidnapped and been placed into an escape room. Apparently the listeners and the other Radio 1 DJs need to help him get out. This is known so far: He needs a 6 digit code to get out. Wrong guesses so far are 1,2,3,4,5,6 and 6,5,4,3,2,1 and 1,7,1,2,8,5 and 3,0,0,9,6,7. There are also many clues in the room including a clock that’s stuck on the time 5 to 11. Also there’s a hangman game and a jigsaw for Greg to solve.

That’s a very good shout actually!

Anyone else find the lack of information about big weekend this year a bit strange? Greg said that the location would be announced last week and since then, it’s not been mentioned once. We normally also have a few acts announced as well by now but nothing for that either! It’s almost as if it’s all been cancelled or rearranged last minute.

I think it would have been better with Jordan covering it, he seems like he’d want to do post watershed radio one day and that would have been a nice chance for him!

Adele is off her normal show from this Thursday until Monday 4th March! Between the 25th Feb and 29th, she’s covering for Dev on the 8th. On Friday 1st, Alice is presenting on her own and Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd, Arielle is covering for them both!

Just going back to the book thing that was posted on his insta, I think it might be tap end but what about Lolathon 2? I seem to remember they used a book as the picture for the first one! I still think it will be Tap End though especially as they’ve been playing old ones on the podcast!

I’ve just noticed, Adele is off for at least 2 weeks from the 14th Feb, and as yet she doesn’t have a return date on the schedules. Jordan is in for her and so on Sunday 24th, Katie Thistleton is in for Jordan!

The station as a whole though, has unfortunately lost listeners. But, it sounds like Matt and Mollie are doing well as well as Greg!

This looks like it’s now been changed to both Dev and Adele back on their normal shows!

As much as I would love to see that, I can’t see them moving the 3 from Kiss before their show has even started! Especially as they’ve plastered that it’s from 9 - 11 on social media.

Could the big show announcement in May have been that Maya was joining on Fridays! What a disaster that was!! If it’s not big weekend or innuendo bingo, then I’m thinking it must be something for comic relief! Or something completely unexpected like Chris leaving - but I don’t thin k it will be that!
