  1. Am I the only person who doesn't like this song (Put Your Records On)?
  2. I don't like Black Eyed Peas... never been a fan of them. Taking Back Sunday on the other hand is more like it. My teacher messed up my coursework, holepunched it in the wrong place and put it in the wrong order, after all the hours I put into it, didn't make me happy.
  3. I just realised I forgot to buy file dividers... the one thing I needed to get this weekend. I'll get some tomorrow I guess. What's the point in this little interlude? I don't care about the Black Eyed Peas..
  4. Sounds to me like they ran out of lyrics... I don't like that song much, which is good, because it inspired me to go upstairs and get my coursework. The radio might be too close to the computer...
  5. Hmm... my radio just cut out. Stupid radio. But it said it was still playing, but it was silent. Digital radio...
  6. 8 days till my geography coursework is in, and I thought it was done, but apparently it's really not. I did no work yesterday, and I've done nothing so far today. Jono, you think it's hard getting revision guides for ICT: try getting anything for Latin. I have to trek to either central London or Oxford to buy books, and there's little help online and no revision guides out there. But generally after GCSE revision guides are difficult to come by.
  7. I think 7 series is too much really. It's this new culture of creating celebrities out of nothing. But hey, I rarely turn on the TV anyway. Has anyone ever turned on Big Brother Live at about 3am and watched them sitting there saying nothing to each other and looking bored and tired but not going to bed? I have done a few times in previous series when unable to sleep, and it looks like the reality of it to me.
  8. Some badly recorded track from my friend's band from a few years ago, they did Christian rock until they got good enough to get gigs in places other than churches. Media Player is on random shuffle, I'm thinking it might be time to change track.
  9. I also watched it for the first time tonight, after pressure from several friends to watch it and forgetting every time, and I liked it. I'm going to watch it next Saturday, providing I remember...
  10. Wonderwall is the first thing I learned to play on guitar... yay I'm listening to Nirvana - Polly.
  11. I don't think it's exactly fair though to the other soldiers to be put in more danger. Someone like him would have a host of bodyguards if they were out there on official duties. Sure, he'll have an SA-80, but frankly you're better off hitting people over the head with those things than firing them (yes, I have fired them, and I've hit myself with them by accident - it hurt-, but not anyone else). All the terrorists and suicide bombers will be attacking him. It's a difficult situation, because of course 500 years ago the King would lead the army into battle... but we live in a very different world now.
  12. I heard the show from 5:15pm till Newsbeat. Quite disappointed that I missed so much, but I was in geography till then. Right now I'm listening to Stereophonics live cover of Nothing Compares To You.
  13. My exams start on June 9th and finish on June 26th. A2s. 19 days of lessons left, then half term, then exams, then I'm finished with school forever. For a minute when I read the title of this thread I thought it would tell me what would come up in this summer's exams - unfortunately no such luck.
  14. Nearly all... so many things there that I'd forgot about. Got the Puppy In My Pocket ad theme stuck in my head now... I remember going down to Woolworths and buying those.
  15. Listening to someone playing piano in the corner. And marvelling at the speed of the school Internet at this time of night. Scott Mills Daily in 4 seconds I really must download more at this time...
  16. Ema, I had bad tonsilitus when I was 14, it's horrible. I ended up in hospital one time, and they told me to go to the doctor because they'd be another 4 hours or so and my doctor could get me an appointment quicker, but I thought I was dying... really nasty. Thankfully I had the tonsils out though, which solved all the problems, up till now when I can't talk and my throat hurts like hell and I'm coughing all the time because I've got no tonsils there to protect me. The nurses here keep telling me to give up smoking...... I've never touched a cigarette in my life... funny.
  17. Yeah, similar to John, no motivation to work towards my A2s. Got mock exams and revision classes flying at me and I'm just not bothered. Spent most of today doing geography and I'm so bored of it. And I'm thinking, how brilliant it is that the unsociable noisy person with terrible music taste and strange hours who used to live in the room opposite has left. Pity about all the other irritating and noisy people with terrible music taste though...
  18. I'm in school at the moment, really quite bored tonight. Some kind socially-minded soul has mutilated the newspaper so reading it is something of a challenge. I've got only revision to do, and I'm just not in the mood, so I think I'll go back to my room in a minute and kill some more time. I've got a cough as well and I don't feel great. The joys of boarding school! But, only 4 and a half weeks of lessons left, then I leave school

    Advice

But don't take paracetamol with alcohol.... it's all digested in your liver so it can be dangerous. Take ibuprofen. Eat before you go out and have lots of water to drink.
  20. I have a decent excuse for missing the Embrace World Cup song's first play. I was listening whilst on the train, and after the first 20 seconds of the song, I went into a massive tunnel under the South Downs. By the time I'd come out the other side and got the radio signal back (the frequency changes the other side of the Downs too) the song was just finishing. I was most disappointed...
  21. TV and Radio... I probably couldn't do that. I need to know what's going on in the world, in terms of new music and the news. But hey... TV is good for very little except mindless entertainment.
  22. I was having a really good day. I cycled around South London, went through 5 different boroughs, cycled 32km. I visited a friend and got some free pizza too. The weather was nice, I'd had a lot of sleep and I felt good. But then I got home and realised I'd got sun burn my arms are still radiating heat and are all red. I hate how easily I burn. It's April for godssake!!
  23. I live without them most of the time. When I'm at school, which is 5 days a week most weeks, sometimes more, I have only shared access to Internet and TV. I only use the Internet to check my email and I rarely watch TV, and when I do, I watch whatever is on. I board, so I can't go home in the evenings and use Internet and TV. I also go on army camps where I don't use phone, TV, computer or Internet for a week. So yes, but if I was at home, I would get bored and lonely and probably go mad in a week without TV or Internet.
  24. My dishwasher is making odd noises and doing strange things. It is one appliance I have no idea about... And I'm thinking about cooking some dinner.
