  1. Hah, for a supermarket or something?

  2. Nah, 2nd last year of School. Into my last year in June! :] Hah, well according to the weather its going to be 20 degrees. In Scotland. So i may have to do other things instead! Hah. you?

  3. Ah in Scotland it's called highers - i think they are the equivilint to AS-levels. cheers :]

  4. Hahaha, i know the feeling, craming the night before = kinda works! Im doing England, Maths, Modern Studies, Business Management and French :< Kinda regret taking some of them now (maths..) but atleast they are almost over!

  5. Sounds alright like! Bit different which is always good now and again... and its a type of music thats getting more and more popularity!
  6. Ahah. Aye, well 6 weeks will go to quick! Ah, planning on doing alot of studying? I always "intent" to but never manage. What subjects/exams you sitting?

  7. Ah for me i've still got another year! 6th will be a bit more relaxed, more trips and free periods etc! Quite looking forward to it. Oh, always good to know your off earlier! Our holidays have been cut by a week :< "just" six weeks off this year!

  8. Haha, i know the feeling. G

  9. Me and about 20 mates from school are heading to T in the Park. Cannot wait. :]
  10. I am rather good thank you :] Been off for two weeks from school therefor fully relaxed! How about you?

  11. I love your bluntness, but do agree with you on 5/6 points!
  12. My turn, my turn. Dev - His show reminds me of changing a car gear as a learner driver, but thats what he is; a learner. Given time he may become listenable. Reggie Yates - Smooth, picked up the chart show amazingly well by himself and really showed everyone how Fearne was getting carried on that thing! Definite drive-time contender. Zane Lowe - Passionate, plays superb music, but I can't listen! No idea why just I cannot bring myself to listen to two hours of him. Sara Cox - Great, brilliant, excellent, amazing. Greg James - 1-4 feels like local radio nowadays. Rubbish features (throw a coin in a cup! phone up with a word that begins with a letter from the alphabet! interview the live lounge guest literally 30 minutes after it's been done!) Jo Whiley - Much more suited to weekends, i think she has excelled in her current spot Edith Bowman - Hmmhmmhmm. Old show was DIRE, new show is ok. Wouldn't if there was anything else to listen to. Chris Moyles - Best listen. I love his honesty, quick-wit and how the team interacts. even though some of the features are lame (Where am I?) they make it funny. Annie Mac - Again, passionate. Funny. It's a shame she got landed with the Switch show as if it was just slightly less patronizing (and didnt have Tom-bloody-Deacon) the format would work. Scott Mills - Not gunna lie, got really dull for a while when Chappers left. Getting back to his normal way but show could have just something more.. all a bit too set in place. Talking until OWO at 6:20ish, Newsbeat.. talking.. entertainment news.. Zane. Fearne Cotten - Sh!t. Nick Grimshaw - Love Grimmy. Interaction is unparrallelled with guests and listeners. Ace.
  13. Nono, not nearly as interesting as that. He phoned his friend who's girlfriend answered the phone. *snore*
  14. Don't think he'll ever get breakfast, to be honest! But he has excelled himself in the 10-12 slot i think. He's funny, interacts with the guests and audience well and you can tell he's passionate about the music he plays. I'd say he'd be more suited to drive if anything.
  15. Bit of a thread-reserection, I heard a little bit of Greg today. He was doing "Science experiment number 2" which involved him spinning two eggs. Was simply amazing to hear on a radio, I was gripped! /sarcasm. He seems to get through his show by coming up with dull stories from his day, for example the one about him phoning his friend only for his girlfriend to answer, yadda yadda. Don't understand where all the Greg love is coming from.
  16. £10 on "Vic Venturi" for myself. At 20/1 that's £200 ;]
  17. Haha. I think i've heard the song, if it goes "All that she wants, is another baby, im gone tomorrow" or something like that.
  18. Yeah i've enjoyed Huw in for Greg this week. He's funny, witty and knows his music. There seems to have been a lot of promotion for the late night DJs this week? Grimmy and Daniel P. Carter have been in with Huw, Annie Nightingale i think was in with Fearne, and Mistajam with Scott. Is there a specific reason or?
  19. 17th May 1993 Number 1 single: Ace Of Base - "All That She Wants" Number 1 album: R.E.M. - "Automatic For The People"
  20. I know, it's shocking! All their songs sound the same. "I wish I could talk to girls, just for the day, just like James Bond, because she's so lovely, but this ain't a love song, this is goodbye". Pendulum for number 1 I say ;]
  21. That's quite a shame. Maybe radio 1 isn't the station for you ;] Going through the A-list only (www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/playlist) i'm quite a fan of: 30 Seconds To Mars - This Is War Chipmunk featuring Esmee Denters - Until You Were Gone Florence + The Machine - Dog Days Are Over The Futureheads - Heartbeat Song Lady Gaga featuring Beyonce - Telephone Lostprophets - For He's A Jolly Good Felon Paramore - The Only Exception Plan B - She Said Professor Green - I Need You Tonight Usher featuring Will.I.Am - OMG You Me At Six - Liquid Confidence! And with a quick skim down the rest of the lists i'd reckon theres only a handfull of songs i could'nt listen to! (N-Dubz being a standout).
  22. Couldn't agree more! Quite shocked they got number 1.
  23. Really enjoyed Rob Da Bank, both the songs and himself were great! Jay Mo (?)and Andy George were decent, sounded a bit messy sometimes but not bad. Didn't really listen to the rest but if System were played i may have a look! I like the 10 hour take-overs, they are very different but enjoyable, but every now and again specialist take-overs are brilliant.
  24. Thanks for reinforcing what i was saying: Greg James is not entertaining. At international level (Radio 1 has to be the biggest station in the world, right?) he is just not good enough.
  25. To me, (16 year old boy, an age group radio 1 seem dead set on holding) Greg James currently is still too close to local radio for my liking. His features, if you take of your rose-tinted glasses, are really quite dull and lacking comic value. Throwing a coin into a cup is not laugh-out-loud material, let alone on a radio? I'll give him one thing: he seems keen. Popping up on other presenters shows and the like is quite good for the listener, gives you a feel of how they all get along etc, and he has undoubtedly a lot more talent than Fearne Cotton. However, it's just easy listening: i can easily revise while listening, but if i was to try during Moyles, Mills, Jo, Zane or Nick Grimshaw it would just be too distracting!
