Thats very true though, they have the means to be a lot more cutting edge with music, they have so much come through introducing and specialist shows that they would have no problem championing a few new bands.

I've read lots about this over the last 24hours and the general consensus is that it would never work, which is reassuring, hopefully they'll leave Radio 1 well alone. The age issue is raised yet again, because BBC aren't allowed to directly compete with commercial stations by offering an island in between Radio 1 & 2 it is expected of the people between to want to listen to commercial radio instead, but it really doesnt work like that and people would much rather listen to something aimed a little younger then them until they are ready to cross over to the Radio 2 side. Heres what I get a little lost with, what is Radio 3? who do they aim at? I was flicking through 1 - 4 the other day and 2 & 3 had were playing, what I would class as, the same music.

Its probably just voiceovers he did months back being repeated with the repeated episodes. We could hear him on there for years...

Really find the Grimshaw trails grating, 10pm+ is a no go time for Radio 1 now days, used to end up listening all the way through but now I've been listening to Richard Bacon instead. So are the weekend shows, Friday night gets so boring with all the countless dance songs, the Saturday night Urbanathon is really unbearable and Switch is like Radio1's CBBC slot, with OMG's and JoBros... I can feel my brain cells and soul dying. Oh and Greg James is far too early for anyone to listen too, hes one of the only good shows to listen too and I cant listen live anymore because I have to try and have a life. Which is a shame!!

I saw Greg say something about not being on Dave anymore, that was ages ago tho, so when I heard him on Dave recently I was a little confused....

I've met Stuart Johnson a couple of times at radio conferences, he's pretty cool. I think he'd make a good Scott. Otherwise the Mr G look alike has a nice round face, which is a good start.

Ah when I left it before Nottingham it was Chris then Scott then Fearne and Greg was 8th and Kutski 9th. Liked the look of it yesterday tho! Well done fake Scott :-p

How do I know if I'm coming down with swine flu or just hayfever and being tired? I'm so paranoid after the newsbeat bit, and the fact that I've just come back from Nottingham, which most time was spent in a huge room with lots of people.

I've just got back from a Swine Flu party with half the radio industry in Nottingham, I'm not feeling too good either, hoping its just because I've been working loads whilst there, if not... well good luck to the whole of BBC radio and many other local stations.

I think using the chrismoylesshow twitter is a great idea, not everyone wants to be nosey into the teams life to find out bits and pieces about the show. I don't listen to the show, but the twitter makes me think I should whenever something interesting is mentioned. Its like with a lot of twitter accounts which are used to post a blog title and a link, if you're interested in the blog you'll click it. Same with the links the chrismoylesshow twitter is putting out. I personally love the mixed personal and business accounts on twitter. Long live the mix.
