Am I right in thinking Greg is keeping the Films stuff on his show too, James King and all that jazz? They've got to give Fearne something to make her own. I don't see why Whiley should take it with her, its not really up to her either, its whatevers going to be best for the listening figures. Then again, the weekend slot is also in need of something more listener drawing...

So long as they put it up like they do with newsbeat type videos, or a youtube video is even easier... If not we'll work out a way!

Read through all the comments here and I have to agree with Viv, I'm pretty sure something was mentioned about an allocation of tickets to UM, but then we wouldn't here discussing the lack of tickets and we'd be arguing over who on here deserves them the most. Baring in mind that I also didn't even attempt to get tickets because there was no way I'd be able to afford to get to Edinburgh or stay there the night, so I'm going to cosy up with a cup of tea and watch it from the comfort of my own home. Hope everyone who did get tickets ruddy enjoys it and represents the whole of UM by clapping really loudly at the end :-)

I dont think that can happen when Scott calls in ill, but maybe for planned holidays. I wouldnt think they'd purposely move too many people though, moving Greg to cover Scott whos covering for Moyles will mean Dev to Gregs slot and someone else to Devs. Far too complicated really. Has there been any names put down for whos getting Dev's weekend slot yet?

Yeah Jo said shes taking the live lounge with her, which will limit the number of sessions to 2 a week... which should give it more consistency. Will be strange having it at the weekend though

Huw would be good, over time they'll probably get Dev to be the covering monkey.

I've not listened to Greg in the morning for ages, so its good to hear him on in the afternoon. Bring on September eh? :-) Saying that, who will be the new "Scotts Ill or Partying with the Hoff" replacement once the move arounds happened?

Just listened. Ouch, I agree with you M1TCH3LL. The mother shouldn't have put her on the spot with that question knowing what had happened. The presenter really weren't trained to deal with that, obviously.

They started all happy and "yay" , half way through the sounding like they were in pain! It does look a lot of fun though.

Possibly! It was just a blue screen where they took photos of whoever they could each time, Dom and Tulip were there originally as place holders, but made the cut because they looked quite real

The daytime DJs still have to pick their track of the week off the playlist, then again I'm sure Whiley would have a little word if she found something she really wanted to play. "Music is the lowest common denominator of radio stations" the way of diffiretiating Radio 1 from commercial radio shouldn't only be that the BBC dont play adverts, its got to be about having the right "talent" and "personalities" and push the boundaries a little with music. One song completely new every five wont hurt anyone.

Yeah one blog I read said that they try it every year, it reminds me of my parents saying "turn off that crap" because they dont like the music.

Luckily Aled seems comfortable enough with his own sexuality to be able to do that, so often thats not the story. It is part of who Aled is, he's honest and open about it and if people have a problem about it its their problem. Its really sad to think they have to read possibly hundreds of nasty texts week in week out.
