...and some of the brilliant remixes there have been over the years, old and new. Like this one from Frankie Knuckles. <object height="344" width="425"> <embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WXatWr1JJ5c&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" height="344" width="425"></object> The 'Dangerous' album from 1991 also rocks in my opinion. Way ahead of it's time soundwise.

Sad news indeed. I was lucky enough to see him live quite a few years back and it was one of the best nights of entertainment I've seen - even people who didn't like his music couldn't avoid being wowed. I hope that in death the media focus more on his talents as a singer/performer rather than the other causes for media frenzy surrounding him in later years. Surprisingly moved by this, probably as he was a major presence in my youth and early adulthood. May he rest finally in peace.

Never been such a fan of the Beastie Boys. Always seemed like a bit too much noise about nothing to me...
-
Haha, love how they're 'bigging down' Zane's show...
-
I quite like the idea of that. Sounds like the beginning of one of those dodgy jokes, "This dog goes up to an ice-cream-van and orders a Calippo..."
-
So how'd the dog go about asking and paying for the Calippo, eh?!
-
Sharing food of any sort with a dog would be a no-no for me. We all know how they clean themselves after all... Urgh
-
Not wishing to spoil it for anyone, but some cursory googling turned up this site (with a handy print out map) - useful for anyone planning a game, but avoid if you're going to play and don't want to cheat... And just WHY am I bothering... It's a crap game really

I hadn't heard of the M2 before, but it apparently does exist... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M2_motorway

So presumably Scott's using Beccy's Facebook account to 'just click it and you're a member'... Or does he actually lurk on there somewhere. The mystery of his actually ok computer skills continues.

Missed loads of the show today - too distracted by new arrivals. We managed to lose them for 15 minutes earlier, despite the fact they've only been allowed in two rooms and not outside. D'uh!
-
Erm, they were talking about judging pigs a few minutes ago and now there's a picture of Beth Ditto..?! I'm guessing I missed something...
-
Thanks everyone... It's been a brilliant birthday weekend all round. The 'sk' actually became added as a nickname when people found out about my russian heritage, and has kind of stuck since.
-
For some odd reason this pleases me. If only for another excuse to hear Harry Hill taking the piss out of it again. 'Bring on the Wall!'
-
Been really enjoying the music on the show this afternoon...
-
This sounds bloody awful on the kitchen radio... It's the ROW?!
-
Many happy returns Lucinda. Hope you're having a really great 21st! Happy Birthday...
-
Enjoyed it, but like Kitty thought it was a bit on the 'light' side for a chat show... I did find Alan Carr generally hilarious though, and can see it developing in format to perhaps give more time to fewer guests (or be a bit longer).

Oh dear, first hearing of this 'Beccy' thing for me with Rio Ferdinand. It's not good is it? Ah well, there's always the day job I suppose!
-
I think that was all about equal access... It was a long list this time though.
-
I've never disliked so many people I've never met and seen for the first time in one sitting. I do like the premise of making them sleep on the floor and eat cold porridge though. Can't we have a big remote controlled stick to poke them all with? That must be feasible in this day and age... (remember the Mars rovers you could influence online from a few years back?)
-
Good to see you about Nik...
-
Urgh. Wish you hadn't included the one of that hostile pointless consumer of air that is Charley.
-
Best wishes to Nihal on his birthday tomorrow. Keep up the good work on R1 - you're rapidly becoming one of our favourites on the station around here.

Congratulations to Diversity. Flawless were fantastic in the semi-finals, but didn't quite hit the marks tonight. The best act definitely won, and are easily the best of the bunch for a performance at the Royal Variety in front of her Maj. Can't believe I'm saying this, but very enjoyable stuff overall. What's next?
