Gary Davies baffled after hearing himself on Sara Cox’s breakfast show singing “Hey Mickey”

Gary Davies spent part of Monday's Drivetime trying to work out why he'd apparently been heard singing Hey Mickey on the Sara Cox Breakfast Show that morning, with no memory of it at all. "I don't remember doing that, and I don't know where I did it," he said, before deciding he must have been "mucking about in the studio off air" and getting caught on tape. He warned anyone listening to be careful what they say around a live mic, because "they record everything."

The Pub Quiz's dogs-themed round produced a perfect score, with Anna from Suffolk, playing as the Corby Arms, correctly naming the Grinch's dog (Max), the fastest breed (greyhound) and the country behind the Chihuahua's name (Mexico) to beat Kirsten, playing as "Gary's Bit in the Middle of the Leaderboard," who managed just one point. Anna's five out of five puts her in the running to kick off All Request Friday.

Gary also passed on an update from Owain Wyn Evans, who is three weeks away from cycling 400 miles across all four nations for Children in Need. A clip played on the show had Owain admitting the hills are tough and that he's "totally not feeling ready," with Gary promising listeners are "behind him every single pedal of the way."

Elsewhere, listeners shared their "obsessions" for Gary, from a 70-year-old's record-breaking 25,000-pub crawl to producer Ben's secret sourdough starter named Beryl, which Gary joked he and Kirsten have never even been offered a slice of.
