Romesh Ranganathan dropped in on Gary Davies' All Request Friday to plug his Saturday morning show, but got himself into a tangle talking about Celebrity Traitors. Clearly buzzing from the latest episode, he began teasing that one of his Traitors castmates would be joining him on Radio 2, then caught himself before giving anything away. "Sorry, it's embarrassing when those six come through," he told Gary, before insisting, "That is all I can say."

Weather Watcher Robert Smith rang in to mark a milestone of his own: five years to the day since his first BBC weather picture, and his 300th photo submitted that very morning, taken on a golf course. Gary asked him to pick a best shot, and Robert went for Sherborne Castle Lake in autumn. He told Gary he's decided to call it a day on photography after reaching the landmark, saying, "I think that's probably a nice round number to finish," before requesting Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head for his send-off.

Elsewhere it was classic All Request Friday chaos: a carp angler camped out overnight in Oxfordshire explained his bite alarms and his record 57lb catch in Croatia, a Scottish caller rang in from a motorway lay-by stuck in traffic on her way home from hospital in Bristol, and four Westlife superfans phoned in from their Birmingham hotel ahead of that night's gig, arguing over whose favourite member was best. Anniversaries, birthdays and a 400-copies-sold author called Jill all got their moment, keeping the requests lines, 08000 288 291, busy right through to the evening handover.
