Sara Cox has announced that Fearne Cotton will return to the mid-morning show on September 2nd.
Fearne left Radio 1 for maternity leave in December 2012, giving birth to baby Rex in February 2013.
Sara has been presenting the show for the past eight months and Fearne’s return will leave Sara without a permanent slot on the station.
There has been some speculation on the Unofficial Mills message board that Radio 2 may reshuffle their schedule shortly to find her a prominent show.
