Owain Wyn Evans used much of Wednesday's Early Breakfast to admit he's having a wobble ahead of his Children in Need cycling challenge, confessing that hills are proving his nemesis. "My legs are proper aching today," he told listeners, adding that he's also moving house at the moment and worried he hasn't got enough time to train properly. He revealed he'd been chatting to Vernon Kay, who did the Ultra Trail Marathon, for tips on tackling the hilly four nations route, and said producer Kaylee had broken the news that snow is even possible in the forecast.

The big theme of the morning was National Album Day, with Owain asking listeners for their most iconic album. Replies ranged from Henry's Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band to Clang Kent's A Night at the Opera, gifted for an 18th birthday, and Hannah's American Idiot by Green Day, which Owain said he'd discussed with Vernon Kay the day before. Owain plugged Emma Willis's Icons special this Saturday, revealing his own pick is a Celine Dion track, "My Heart Will Go On".

On Pause for Thought, Methodist minister Joe Cox Darling gave an emotional account of S Club 7's "Reach for the Stars" becoming the song her mum, who has dementia, still belts out every Friday with a tambourine, calling music "the great connector".

Owain also teased that he'll be popping into Sara Cox's Breakfast Show straight after to talk more about his Children in Need cycle challenge.
