27 June 2007: Rachel Loves Royston, My Name Is Scott and Gordon Brown

Edith’s off to Richard and Judy’s show again today. Not that Scott’s bothered, he’s given up on them, and all of the chat show hosts seem to be quitting anyway.

One caller today was quite excited about the ‘Rachel Loves Royston’ feature. Where we see how famous people pull normos, by reading out love letters from famous people and diaries about them. Today’s extract from 24th September, Rachel was asked out by Royston. One friend didn’t think they went together. On the 25th September, a family friend asked her out, but she said no. He had big ears. The next day, Royston and Rachel held hands. He also put his arms around her, but made her promise not to tell any one.

Also, Mika seems to be using up his credit again, by wasting credit on Scott’s show. One text came in saying “Mika likes this record, love Mika” when talking about Rihanna’s new song. It’s probably him wasting his money on keeping it at Number 1.

My Name Is Scott

My Name Is Scott is also back this week. This time there was another mystery caller for Scott.

Chopper: “Do you remember, in Bristol, when you ran that small child over?”

Scott: “Yeah”

Chopper: “No, we haven’t…”

It was infact a girl called Gemma, whose life he had ruined. Remember her on the show? She had a load of her boyfriend’s ex-boxes, which Scott asked to chop up, whilst he was skiing. As a result, she became part of another ex-box under the bed. In revenge, we had electric chair trivia. Scott was strapped down, and was given the dog collar that gives electric shocks. Scott was then asked questions about his show, some he could guess correct, some he failed to guess correctly. Such as what was the package that he left on a train that caused a security alert in Plymouth once upon a time. The answer being a box of condoms. After ten electric shocks, we’re pretty sure we could hear him sizzling in the background!

Texter: “Maybe tomorrow you could set fire to some of his stuff”

Bit harsh, but possibly fair. Catch it all on a video podcast sometime soon!

Now if you were the new Prime Minister what would you do? Scott reckons Gordon Brown would be christening his new house everywhere. Getting it on in every room. Thankfully the beds do change every time the PM leaves, so he’ll be getting a new one soon. And another reconstruction of just that, as Gordon Brown enters 10 Downing Street for the first time. Stick to Radio 4 if you do want to hear your actual politics.

The show is back at 4pm on Radio 1, so tune in then. And I leave you with the news that Million Count Man is still going…
