Afternoon! It’s Only Bley Friday! Aren’t you looking forward to Whiley, Moyles and Edith returning to Radio 1 next week? Hopefully… And aren’t you also looking forward to the “family” going into the Big Brother house tonight?
Scott’s got his new phone, but didn’t save the numbers, and so New Year texts are appearing from random numbers. Plus Scott tried to turn the cold tap on, and it came off in his hands. He didn’t know what to do, so turned the water off at the stop cock. He wanted a glass of water and then realised he couldn’t have any, so had to have some wine instead. That’s the Mills we all know!
Scott is urging listeners to send his new idea for a text chain message to a friend and Radio 1 right now. Type this in: “Alright Treacle. It’s Scott at Radio 1. If you can afford to send this to a friend and to Radio 1 on 81199. We’ll tell you how far it goes, weekdays 4pm!” and send it to a friend and 81199. Within 3 minutes it was sent to Radio 1 by over 2,500 listeners.
Chappers: “It’s basically an advert for you isn’t it?”
And it was the return of the gaydar game. Can Chappers work out who’s gay and who’s straight? Tonight he did this by asking callers whether they preferred the Manchester United home or away kit, and what their favourite three course meal was.
Scott: “You can’t tell by the clothes thing, have you seen my bedroom?”
Chappers: “No! And again, for the record, no! Was that an invite by the way?”
And the retox was on at the earlier time of 5 o’clock this afternoon. A retox of course is the opposite of a detox, just for those taking their time to cotton on. Scott had some Pinot Grigio, Chappers had some more Jack Daniels and I’ve got some chips. Let’s retox!
