Good actual morning, it’s your favourite time of the week, it puts us in a good mood, and it’s going to be good…
**** iiiiiiiiiiiiiiit’s only bley friiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiday! ****
Last night Scott was DJing for some investment bankers. He totally forgot about the gig, and was in his dressing gown at 9.10pm getting ready for bed, when he got a knock at the door. He ended up getting to bed at 3am.
Yesterday he met a horse, and it ended up leaving it’s mark in the street. Chappers thinks that horses pooing are a good sign, but then realised that’s the myth about a greyhound. Scott even had to be fitted with a back protector yesterday, that’s BBC safety for you!
Many listeners were disappointed by the lack of Laura in David Walliams’ documentary last night. They got about 5 seconds out of her, but no more. At least Richard and Judy knew who the real star was…
They’re gonna taste great!
And Lloyd was on again calling a convenience store in Burnley trying to get his money back because of the rubbish advert. The guy refused to, unless there’s anything wrong with the product. He suggested getting Bran Flakes, by Lloyd was having none of it, claiming they make him have “runny” poos. The guy insisted he didn’t make the adverts. Oh and by the way, Frosties Kid isn’t dead; he’s living in South Africa. And don’t you forget it.
**** The Chris Moyles Show with Scott Mills – Soft, Strong & Three Hours Long… ****
Scott says the advert isn’t even that good. They sing about eating Frosties in the Empire State Building – which is an office, in a crate – how many people do that, and they’re in a plate – when we all eat them from bowls. He became even more irrate when listeners texted in arguing in favour of the advert.
Scott: “People are asking ‘haven’t you got anything better to talk about?’ I actually don’t”
Chappers: “At least you’re honest”
To help Scott out Laura went online to see if she could see the Empire State Building in a photograph. After a few minutes she realised the picture was the view from the Empire State Building
Chappers recalled a moment at an Eminem gig where a girl came up to Scott asking for a picture. He said it was fine, asked her name, put her arm around her and got someone to come over to take it. A few minutes later he realised it was someone from Radio 1 Online just wanting a snap.
Sport Relief Banter
Aled was also back on, he’s raising £66,000 for tomorrow’s Sport Relief swim he’s taking part in. David Davis the swimmer is also helping him by swimming with him. Aled still insists Laura should come along in a dingy reporting to Spoony throughout the day. They have to be out of the pool by twelve though, Fat Busters is on then.
Chappers wants to know that if Scott dies tomorrow would “it’s the way he’d have wanted to go” be okay to use as a quote. Scott says as long as it’s on BBC One and not BBC Three then yes. The team wants to pre-record some extra audio for future years once Scott’s gone. One listener thinks Derek Acorah will be able to help Scott, channeling his thoughts for a show. Then a fool off of 1Xtra came into the studio, being rather innocent talking about his Sport Relief run, till an inappropriate Christopher Reeve comment. This was followed by an apology from the show.
There was also a bit of a reminder about the Justin show on Sunday evening. Chappers said he was oblivious to any thing Justin related going on at Radio 1.
His hat is black and silver, to much amusement of the team. By 5 minutes to 10 Scott was petrified about the whole horse riding scenario. How will he do? Find out on Unofficial Mills over the next few days!
A very slow first hour and a half, but by 8.30 the show picked up its randomness and became quite funny. You can’t blame Scott for being very tired; all the members on the forum were feeling just as he was.
