Oh yeeeeeeessssss – iiiiit's only bley friiiiday!!!! So its the official start to the weekend even though its supposed to start with Pete Tong at 6, but we all know its the weekend as soon as we hear those 4 words we all wish we could say but cant without our throats exploding.
First off – the exciting news today has got to be the Sugababes exclusive. The first playing of their new track (well sort of, its a cover) is promised later on today. Its apparently something you would never expect them to do so we'll look forward to that. Well some of us.
So its 4.25, and its reminder time for Pukka Up For The FA Cup, so check out Scotts page for a link to the rules if you want to play at home or work. These are Scotts predictions for this weekends matches:
Bolton v Westham – 2-1 to Westham
Charlton v Brentford – 1-0 to Charlton

Which despites Chappers sarcasm and Scotts VERY VERY limited knowledge of football are pretty good. But as they say, the magic of football is that ANYTHING can happen so its definitely worth keeping an eye on.
Something else worth mentioning is the sports news – "in Ready, Steady, Cook – the red tomatoes lost by 1 vote". Random. But I suppose its a score. Anyhow, as Ainsley would say "Chappers, what are you like???"
Flirt Divert
The dance steps arent up on the website yet. So for now we'll just have to imagine what Chappers has come up with for this hip-hop stylie jingle. Or better still – come up with your own moves. It could be almost like Coxy's Hair Brush Hits with everyone grabbing the nearest microphone shaped thing and strutting their stuff. Ok – so maybe that is just me?
Swiftly moving on – here's a brief rundown of the casualties to the public service that is Flirt Divert today:
Someone called Cherry leaves a message to apologize for the "whole stilletto thing." Maybe she DID puncture his inflatable bed? Or was the person she was calling for wearing the stillettos? Your guess is as good as mine.
A message from a budding rapper: "Yo yo, to the base to the base, to the mainstream flow." The accent slips though and: "I've got your number, ok love?" And an encore of the rap. It might not be bling bling, but its definitely Flirt Divert gold.
Also – Poppa D is BACK! Cleaning out his flat. So being the gentleman that he is, calls up to ask for company. Nice that.
And someones been rumbled (well sort of). "Vixon's" given someone called John the Flirt Divert, and sent him to a strip club where she supposedly works. He spends all day there and comes to the conclusion that, yup – Vixen doesnt exist at all.
But the award for best message goes to this, definitely one of the best flirt diverts in a while. Sung to a gentle melody: "You can be my favourite sandwich girl 4eva. So ring me anytime if you want a bit of Trevor. So if you are willing, I have the filling. bye bye." Spine tingly awful and what flirt divert was definitely made for. Vintage.

So onwards and upwards. Or maybe I speak to soon. Its finally time for the first play of the BRAND NEW Sugababes B SIDE: It really is something unexpected. Its a cover of The Artcic Mokeys – I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor????? Personally – the original was definative. This was is just a cover with alot of synthesising and just another funky pop song. Actually, on 2nd thoughts, yes – it was definitely mind numbingly boring – listen again to hear it yourself at the listen again pages.
Unanimously though – looks as though Radio 1 listeners want someone shot for playing it. Maybe a little extreme but we love the Arcitc Monkeys so much!!!! And if its eye for an eye – thats classic debut just got murdered in that cover.
But every cloud has got its silver lining. The silver lining of that Sugababes song was that it means tts that special time again. 45 mins of classic tracks to warm you up for the evening. Its time for….
