Moshi Moshi to you visitors. It's Thursday, it's still lovely weather and here's my review of the Scott Mills show today.
Thursday Banter
Chappers today advised us about dancing in the toilets whilst urinating. Once again Chappers provides us with another lovely mental image as we get home and again has been drawing rude things on the whiteboard, this time it's female body parts. Chappers claims he was "just balancing it up" after yesterday he drew manly parts.
Glastonbury Tickets
Scott's got the hottest tickets around; you can't even bribe him with wine. He had some tickets to give away if Vicki, the lucky girl with 10 tickets, failed in the next round to save her tickets. There was bribery on the text messaging system including a 'nice shower' from someone who lives near Glastonbury and threats included "please give me the tickets or I'll kidnap your nan". Nice.
Sarah wanted the tickets, but wasn't feeling any guilt about Vicki possibly losing her friends. Vicki had to answer as many films to do with Tom Cruise. What's that got to do with Glastonbury? One texter claimed the link that they were both too short! Sarah managed to answer several more and managed to swipe two of Vicki's tickets. Links to Glastonbury and Tom Cruise continued to flood in. One suggestion was they're both awful when they're wet. Scott as yet hasn't got his wellies, but one kind caller has offered his for £3.50.
Eh? Dirty Boy!
The Eh? Dirty Boy! banner manufacturing is under way. T in The Park, The Grand Prix, Cricket, and Glastonbury. It's happening everywhere. A group of girls were on the phone and have made a massive banner for Glastonbury. They’re hoping to get it on the BBC Three coverage of the event.
Laura at Glastonbury
There better be enough white wine at Glastonbury as she's convinced Radio 1 bosses that she should go. But she needs somewhere to stay, and someone brave enough to allow her into their tent. A lot of people have "pitched a tent" already. (They've got their early, of course). Scott described it as a little child in a sweet shop. Goood mornin'. Thankfully we had no chorus from Chappers of 'Candy Shop'.
Your Call
Anything apart from Bryan Adams, Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman. Apparently Scott's never been able to relate to that song… One caller had the most serious talk on the feature so far about 'sliding doors' and another had just graduated from university. Quite a good Your Call in my opinion with a range of songs including Blink 182's I Miss You. Chappers was looking for someone "enjoying the nice weather", in other words he put some high pitched blonde callers through because they were sunbathing in bikinis. Don't forget 08700 100 100 or text 81199 if you want to get a song requested during Scott's show. Tonight's Most Wanted was the Foo Fighters.
The Night of Lurve
There's been quite a few texts to Radio 1 with "get me out of here". This is where Scott & Chappers step in and help the poor people get out of their date when it's going a bit rubbish. But it was the other person who answered, whilst the other was in the toilet and got Scott on the other end of the line. Methinks he has caught on to what she'd done but Scott claimed it was a wrong number. As Chappers said: "I think she might have got out of the date now then". Imagine the conversation after that.
I like burgers…
Paul and Lee from Celebrity Love Island are due on Chris Moyles' show tomorrow, so Scott's going to try and find out if he was the burger guy who left the message on the Flirt Divert answer phone.
The show has been rather quiet. The Glastonbury Ticket giveaway monopolised the first hour and not much else has happened that was overly entertaining. It's only bluuuudddyy Friday tomorrow, with the Wonder Years (4pm – 5.45pm). I'm off to my prom tomorrow night (more about that on the message board) so it's David's day at reviewing. Keep your messages coming in on our message board.
