The mums open the wrong son’s presents
Scott and Chris repeat their most uncomfortable Christmas tradition. Each has selected, wrapped and delivered a present to the other’s mother, but both mums have been told that the parcel was chosen by their own son.
They call the women and ask them to open the gifts live on air, accepting praise for taste and effort that belongs to somebody else. Scott admits he has invested more thought in Chris’s mum than in his own girlfriend, while Chris enjoys the deception considerably more than Scott does.
Cheese returns before breakfast
The final Early Morning Cheese Club includes an entire bakery’s worth of bread, strong soft cheeses and one listener squeezing cheese directly from a tube. Shop workers listening through a full shift point out that they cannot join the widespread half-day because people such as Chris still need last-minute vouchers.
Door 23 of the Whooovent Calendar opens before the feature ends. The Christmas Eve door will have to wait because Scott and Chris are moving to their six-hour afternoon Bangers show on the following day.
Honey G releases music as Charlie Puth tweets
Honey G’s new track arrives too late to become Christmas number one, but Chris is delighted when she retweets his suggestion for a range of “Honey G-strings”. The song receives enough airtime for Scott to decide that the joke and catchphrases may already be approaching saturation.
Charlie Puth’s holiday with Bella Thorne creates a more serious social-media drama. After pictures appear, Charlie posts that he believed Bella was no longer with Tyler Posey and withdraws from the situation. Bella replies that she and Tyler had already separated and that she and Charlie were not dating, leaving Scott to advise Charlie to put down his phone.
