The voice of the tweets returns
The Queen had sent her first tweet, leading Scott to complain that the message contained neither a joke nor a hashtag. That provided an appropriate reason to revive Who’s That Tweeting? and its unnaturally deep-voiced reader.
Scott and Chris attempted to identify celebrities from posts about Halloween, painful feet, healthy dinners and new calendars. The clues moved through possible answers including Hayley Williams, Joey Essex, Jamie Laing and Olly Murs before the voice revealed the authors and demonstrated how badly the pair read social-media personalities.
Deep Burn loses all context
Earlier in the week, Chris had shown Scott online videos in which couples exercised by using each other as weights and gym equipment. They had now recorded their own version under the name Deep Burn.
In a busy gym, they attempted assisted pull-ups, balanced around a medicine ball and arranged their bodies into exercises copied from the original films. An editor condensed the session into its most suggestive moments and added earnest music. The finished video began with them explaining that they had known each other for five years and ended with the phrase “couples who train together stay together”.
Scott immediately worried that screenshots would outlive the explanation. He had regarded filming as a joke, but the short edit looked like a sincere relationship video. Comments including “I cannot unsee this” confirmed that context had already been lost.
Chris prepares his Strictly support
Chris had finally received a ticket to watch Scott in person. The terms warned that his phone might be taken away, creating a problem for the live-tweeting campaign.
He planned to write supportive messages before seeing the performance and ask a producer to publish them during the show. Scott questioned how Chris could react to events in advance, but accepted that enthusiasm mattered more than precision. Chris also promised to be audibly supportive from his seat and considered a strategic drink before the broadcast.
Gary Lucy joined Real or No Real, while the revived tweeting game and workout video continued to attract attention. Scott entered the weekend knowing that his campaign manager would finally be in the studio audience, even if the online praise had already been written.
