Scott’s totally average weekend
Scott said he had enjoyed one of the most uneventful weekends of his life.
He stayed in his dressing gown, worked through the washing basket, bought silicone liners for the air fryer and watched The Hotel Inspector.

Romesh’s enormous weekend
Scott contrasted his own inactivity with Romesh Ranganathan’s first Saturday programme on Radio 2 and completion of the London Marathon.
Romesh’s mother admitted she had missed the live show because she had gone for a massage but intended to catch up.
EastEnders at the marathon
Actors Jamie Borthwick and Emma Barton completed the London Marathon while also filming scenes as Jay and Honey.
The footage was turned around quickly enough to appear in that evening’s EastEnders.
The characters were running in memory of Lola, giving the real event an emotional place inside the soap’s storyline.
A child’s mystery song
Dad Rob asked for help identifying a song his five-year-old daughter Willow sang repeatedly.
Listeners quickly recognised it as a Halloween song from Gabby’s Dollhouse.
The case was solved before DCI Mills moved on to a much more difficult investigation.
Daniel’s Music Police case
Daniel from Belfast remembered a black-and-white milk commercial containing a rhythm he described as “boom boom, ah-ah”, followed by a saxophone phrase.
He had been trying to identify it for years.
Scott opened the case and asked the force to find an answer by Thursday.
Radio 2 in the Park clues
Scott had learned the secret location of Radio 2 in the Park but was forbidden from revealing it.
He offered deliberately useless clues involving shops, houses, roads, petrol stations and possibly more than one roundabout.
Handover
Scott handed over after keeping the festival location secret and opening Daniel’s case.
