Caroline from Epsom turned 38 and described Radio 2 as the soundtrack to her life.
She regularly briefed her husband David on stories from Zoe Ball, Vernon Kay, Scott, Sara Cox and Jo Whiley when he returned from work.
Caroline paused her washing machine to take the call while dealing with toddler life.
She shared her birthday with Whitney Houston, Anna Kendrick, Gillian Anderson and Michael Kors.
Caroline wanted a feel-good party record.
Matt Willis and Charlie Simpson
Matt Willis and Charlie Simpson joined Scott ahead of Busted’s appearance at Radio 2 in the Park and discussed their new album.
James Bourne was absent, leaving Matt and Charlie to answer for the group.
They described returning to the band with a clearer sense of what Busted should sound like and spoke about revisiting the energy of their earlier records without simply copying them.
The Headlines
Scott presented old stories and asked Matt and Charlie whether they were real or rubbish.
One headline concerned Matt posting a photograph of himself picking his nose while travelling first class on a Virgin Pendolino to Radio 1.
Matt admitted the image was genuine and said he had probably been trying to present himself as “still punk rock”.
Another story involved Busted approaching Ed Sheeran about a collaboration on the new album.
They confirmed that contact had been made and thought Ed would have sounded particularly good on Sleeping with the Light On.
Scott appealed for Ed to return the message.

The programme marked what would have been Whitney Houston’s 60th birthday.
Scott played My Love Is Your Love and promoted evening tributes from Jo Whiley and Trevor Nelson.
