Scott reminded listeners that voting was closing for Radio 2’s ultimate Kylie Minogue song ahead of her headline appearance at Radio 2 in the Park.
Fans could choose up to five tracks.
David, who had recently played the Birthday Game, explained that he and his husband had walked down the aisle to a Kylie classic, although Scott stopped him naming or humming it in case he influenced the vote.
Scott said the result felt much less predictable than similar artist polls.
Showbiz myths
Scott revisited celebrity stories that had circulated for years despite being false.
Examples included Jennifer Lopez supposedly insuring her bottom for millions, Halle Berry having six toes and Avril Lavigne using a body double for public appearances.
He contrasted those myths with genuine stories, including an artist admitting that her sister occasionally handled telephone interviews because their voices sounded so similar.
The Birthday Game: Aaron
Aaron from Poole in Dorset turned 37.
He had completed the London Marathon earlier in the year and was preparing for an ultramarathon the following morning.
Aaron shared his birthday with Barack Obama, Greta Gerwig, Lee Mack and Louis Armstrong.
His first spin was Elton John and Kiki Dee’s Don’t Go Breaking My Heart, number one in 1976.
Aaron rejected it.
The second was Shakira featuring Wyclef Jean with Hips Don’t Lie, number one in 2006.
He admitted he liked Shakira but still chose to gamble.
His compulsory final song was Florence and the Machine’s Calvin Harris remix of Spectrum (Say My Name), number one in 2012.
Aaron called it a strong Friday record and said it would help motivate him for the ultramarathon.
The Wonder Years
The Friday Wonder Years focused on the 2000s and included Kylie alongside records from artists including Rihanna and Kings of Leon.

Scott handed over to Sara Cox after the Kylie vote closed.
