Scott proposed creating a red Padam-themed ice-cream van for Radio 2 in the Park.
Jez was spending the day moving between an athletics stadium, Leicester Tigers and a football club, making the job sound like an ice-cream version of a taxi service.
The Birthday Game: Kath
Kath from near Leamington Spa turned 48.
She had recently attended ABBA Voyage and described the illusion of seeing the group perform as mind-blowing.
Her Friday birthday involved a National Trust visit with her husband and dinner with the family.
Kath loved 1980s artists including Duran Duran, Deacon Blue, Wet Wet Wet, George Michael and Simply Red.
Her first spin was Pixie Lott’s Mama Do. Kath rejected it.
The second was Kenny Rogers’ Lucille. She rejected that too.
Her compulsory final song was Mint Royale’s Singin’ in the Rain, which became a number one after George Sampson performed to it on Britain’s Got Talent.
Kath knew the track and accepted the sunny-weather contradiction of playing a song about rain.
Liam Gallagher and Noel
Scott replayed part of Jo Whiley’s interview with Liam Gallagher.
Jo almost persuaded him to telephone Noel, while Liam said it would be good for the brothers and their families to speak again even if Oasis did not reunite.
