The Birthday Game: Charlotte
Charlotte from Edinburgh turned 45 and was surprised by her partner Jan.
She had hoped only for a shout-out but instead found herself playing the Birthday Game.
Charlotte worked at the Scottish Seabird Centre after previously working at Edinburgh Zoo.
She was also a committed Doctor Who collector, particularly interested in the Tom Baker era, and had insured the collection separately.
Charlotte shared her birthday with Daniel Craig, Rebel Wilson and Dr Seuss.
Her first spin was Leo Sayer’s When I Need You, number one in 1977. She rejected it immediately.
The second was Diana Ross’s Chain Reaction, number one in 1986.
Charlotte wanted a 1990s song but decided Diana Ross was too good to risk losing.
Scott revealed that the unused final spin would have been Kelly Clarkson, which Charlotte admitted was one of her favourites.
She nevertheless remained happy with Chain Reaction.
Daffodil trouble continues
The week’s daffodil warnings continued.
A dog called Agatha had eaten daffodils from a garden and needed veterinary treatment.
Michelle Collins also admitted mistaking a daffodil for a spring onion during a lockdown cooking video, adding it to a stir-fry and becoming ill.
Scott concluded that Jilly’s warning had been more important than anyone initially realised.
The Music Police: Turbo Tony
Turbo Tony remembered an early-1990s rave track with words resembling: “I know everything there is to know about you, your body.”
He had attended events including Helter Skelter, Uprising and Destruction and insisted the lyrics were accurate.
The programme tested several suggestions:
– 2 Unlimited’s Let the Beat Control Your Body
– Tom Novy’s Your Body
– Expansions’ Move Your Body
– New Atlantic’s I Know
Tony rejected every one.
Scott escalated the investigation to dance-industry specialists, including former promoters, record-label figures and DJ Spoony.
None could identify it.
DJ Spoony questioned whether Tony genuinely remembered the lyrics correctly after so many years.
Scott admitted the investigation had become one of the Music Police’s most difficult cases.
The programme received one last-minute suggestion, but the available transcript does not confirm a successful identification.
Red Nose Day’s Traitors sketch
Scott looked ahead to a Comic Relief edition of The Traitors featuring Dawn French, Jennifer Saunders and Claudia Winkleman.
He also welcomed the return of Race Across the World, which would follow five teams travelling across Canada.

Scott handed over to Sara Cox with Turbo Tony’s mystery still unresolved.
