Suggestions included cardboard cut-outs of Radio 2 presenters arranged as a nativity scene and an entrance covered with lights, tinsel and Santa hats.
A previous winner believed she lived nearby and declared: “Game on. Come on, Mills, I’ll beat you.”

Rachel from Nottingham turned 37 and was working because she had used leave caring for sick children.
She preferred not to begin Christmas celebrations until after her birthday.
Her first spin was The Beatles’ She Loves You, the biggest-selling UK single of 1963. She rejected it despite liking the song.
The second was Destiny’s Child’s Independent Women Part I, number one in 2000 and featured in Charlie’s Angels.
Rachel accepted it rather than risk the final spin.
Listeners praised the choice as an anthem.

Scott revealed that, during the feature’s first month, two people had accepted the opening song, five had chosen the second and 11 had risked the third.
