Vicky and Charley opened with a genuine scare: producer Looch almost didn't make it in after getting trapped overnight in a storage unit with his car, filming live updates as he tried to escape. "We didn't know if he'd ever get out," said Vicky, joking it felt "like a reality show… ten celebrities locked in a storage unit."
The pair also shared their own locked-out horror stories, with Charley recalling having to call a mechanic brother-in-law to jemmy open her old car after locking her keys inside, and one listener, Lady Von Wombels, texting in to say her husband once escaped a locked car by squeezing through a 40cm window.
Elsewhere, Charley revealed she's been quietly rehearsing her dream appearance on Greg James' Unpopular Opinion segment, teasing a hot take "involving Jamie Oliver" that she wouldn't fully reveal on air. Listeners also shared their own rehearsed fantasy moments, including one anonymous texter admitting to constantly practising a "classy but brutal" speech for her daughter's ex.
The duo also previewed Live Lounge Month, kicking off Monday with Blossoms, with Sam Smith, Stereophonics, Jason Derulo, Rose and Anderson .Paak among those lined up, plus a mystery guest on 28 October still to be revealed.
The week's Rogue Quiz saw Beatrice and Alice (as "French Farts") and others correctly spot the hidden theme linking answers like Apple, Roast Dinner, Falling, Conker and Pumpkin Spice Latte: it was Autumn.
