James Morrison
James Morrison joined Scott to discuss returning with new music.
He reflected on the personal experiences that had shaped his writing and the need to wait until songs felt honest rather than merely timely.
The conversation covered grief, family and the difficulty of discussing painful material repeatedly once it became part of an album campaign.
Scott asked about the distinctive voice that had defined James’s career and how he protected it across touring and recording.
James revisited the speed of his early success and the difference between writing as a young artist and returning with more life behind the songs.
The interview remained warm and direct, allowing the emotional subjects to sit alongside music and ordinary studio conversation.
