The Antiques Roadshow game
Faye joined Scott after taking an old wine bottle found by her father in a skip to Antiques Roadshow.
Scott and Bobby tried to guess its value.
Scott suggested £500, while Bobby went much higher after correctly suspecting that the bottle had some form of seal.
The bottle was valued at £12,000.
Its damaged historic family seal prevented it from being worth closer to £20,000.
Faye had not sold it and planned to keep it for her children.
The Birthday Game: Vicky
Vicky from Bridgend turned 41 and worked as a dressage rider and coach.
She described the job as making ponies dance in circles and said the horses occasionally listened to Radio 2, even if they were less enthusiastic about her singing.
Vicky wanted 1990s Britpop, dance music or some carefully controlled cheese.
Her first spin was Bruno Mars’ Grenade. She rejected it.
The second was George Harrison’s My Sweet Lord, which had returned to number one in 2002. Vicky rejected that too.
Her compulsory third song was We Don’t Talk About Bruno from Encanto, number one for seven weeks in 2022.
Vicky had previously used the music for a dressage routine and said the horses knew it well.
She accepted the result and received the birthday balloon.
Daniel Bedingfield
Daniel Bedingfield joined Scott after announcing his first UK live shows in roughly 20 years.
The return prompted a flood of messages from listeners who had grown up with Gotta Get Thru This and If You’re Not the One.
Daniel reflected on the intensity of his early success and the unusual experience of returning to songs that had become attached to other people’s weddings, relationships and major life events.
Scott highlighted how quickly Daniel’s debut singles had moved from bedroom-produced dance music to enormous pop ballads.
Daniel also discussed preparing to perform the catalogue live again and the audience reaction he expected after such a long absence.
Horses love Radio 2
Vicky’s appearance encouraged more messages from yards where horses listened to Radio 2 throughout the day and even overnight.
One owner said the station kept the animals calmer after staff had gone home.
Scott proposed a full equine roll call for the following programme.

Scott handed over after Daniel’s return and the first wave of horse-related messages.
