Is Scott on The Masked Singer?
Listeners had decided that the character Rubbish on The Masked Singer sounded like Scott.
Scott denied being inside the costume, while acknowledging that this was exactly what a contestant would say.
He also discussed celebrities who were becoming irritated by guesses, including James Arthur repeatedly denying that he was Rhino.
The Birthday Game: Jo
Jo was nominated by her daughter Danielle and reacted with disbelief when Scott called.
She turned 57 and shared her birthday with Paolo Nutini, Jimmy Page, Imelda Staunton and James Acaster.
Danielle claimed Jo loved the programme more than her daughter, son, partner, dog Jeff and cats Dave and Keith.
Jo was preparing to drive to Norfolk for a surprise birthday week with her husband Steve and Jeff.
Her first spin was Paul McCartney’s Pipes of Peace, number one in 1984. She rejected it.
The second was Rednex’s Cotton Eye Joe, number one in 1995. Jo also rejected that and accepted the compulsory third spin.
Her final song was Little Mix’s Sweet Melody, which had been number one two years earlier.
Jo said it was “okay”, while listeners complained that she had passed up the chance to create a Steps and Rednex double bill.
S Club 7 reunion rumours
Scott discussed reports that all seven members of S Club 7 could reunite for their 25th anniversary.
He had frequently performed after the reduced S Club 3 line-up at events and argued that a full reunion would be significantly different.
The rumours suggested Simon Fuller had approached every member about a possible tour.
